2 weeks left until the end of school AND graduation after Memorial Day....
Let's finish strong everyone and ensure as many seniors as possible walk that stage and all of our Mustangs are in class and working hard to meet their goals and be successful going into summer.
Thank you for all you do!

This is a reminder that next Friday, May 23rd, we have our Graduation Rehearsal to prepare for the ceremony.
Given that the rehearsal is required for students to participate in the ceremony, here are some reminders:
- Jostens will be at the Small Gym at 7:45am for any last minute cap/gown/tassel problems.
- Student check-in for rehearsal will be at 8:30am at the Small Gym.
- Students must bring their school ID (card or Student Vue), cap and gown. ID cards will also be required for student entry at Golden 1 at the Ceremony.
- All textbooks and school-issued property must be turned in and fines paid in full.
- After rehearsal and the parade at EHMS, students will have time to purchase tickets at the back of the cafeteria. Tickets are $10.
- Many students choose to leave after rehearsal; remember that it is an attendance day so you will receive an absent notice if your student chooses to leave. If you know in advance that your student will be absent after the rehearsal, please notify the attendance tech at: syramire@egusd.net in advance.
- If your student stays at school, they are expected to attend their classes and participate fully in academic activities.
Graduation Day and Beyond information
Special Schedules are posted later in the newsletter
All of the days remaining this year are attendance days for all.
Seniors graduating:
Many seniors do not attend after graduation but they are marked absent per ed code. If they want to attend to improve a grade, they can but they will be marked absent if they are not in attendance. The teachers will work with anyone who continues to attend although very few do. The absence does not hurt their grade but if in attendance, there is work that will be given towards the grade. You are welcome to email our attendance office if you are wishing to call ahead for the absence. Phones will be too busy the days of so please understand the importance of planning ahead.
Graduation Day:
Graduation Day is a special minimum day schedule since we are a 7pm graduation
Seniors will be given all information about arrival and the ceremony at rehearsal and have been communicated in emails as well
Finals Days for 9-11 are May 29, 30 and we will have special finals schedules.
Summer School info will come from the summer school principal Vincent Payne or the counselors. Be sure to have signed up.
Junior Parent Meeting May 28th for class of 2026 - save the date
Next year we will keep the current bell schedules with Late Start Thursday
May is Mental Health Awareness month - you matter!
We need your help to remind students re: Chromebooks and safety
Important for parents/guardians and staff to remind students:
We are aware of a viral Tik Tok trend called the “Chromebook Challenge” where students are attempting to short-circuit Chromebooks with paper clips and other objects, risking damage or fire. Tampering with school property is dangerous and can lead to arson charges, suspension, or expulsion. Please talk to your children about the dangers of participating in viral online challenges and the importance of respecting school property. Remember, “If you see something, say something.” Your help is crucial in keeping our school and property safe.
Great job Softball and Top 10

You all worked so hard and deserve to be celebrated.
Also, congratulations to Softball who were just edged out from making 2nd round in playoffs. What a great game and a great season! Good job to all!
