OPERATION RIDE HOME
Application Period: Now-November 15, 2024
Military families are frequently stationed far from their loved ones, which can create feelings of loneliness and isolation, especially during the holidays. That’s why it’s so important to send junior enlisted military families home for the holidays — to celebrate, reconnect with family and friends, and feel rejuvenated. By offering financial assistance, ASYMCA and Jack Daniel’s are making travel home possible for E1-E5 service members from all military branches, their spouses and dependent children ages 0-18 who are most in need.

TRAVEL REIMBURSEMENT FOR A DESIGNATED PERSON TO PROVIDE CHILD CARE
MilitaryChildCare.com has now launched the ability to generate travel memos in support of a pilot program to assist Service members and their families when assigned to a new duty station and awaiting on-base child care at the new location. The program reimburses families for travel expenses when they bring a designated person to a new permanent duty station (PDS) to provide child care because child care is not available at the PDS within 30 days of their date care needed (DCN) – see attached memo for full details or visit https://militarychildcare.com.
