LHS TIGER TALK
January 31, 2025
Students and staff at Loveland High School are working on a new and exciting project - The Steve Kenyon Outdoor Memorial Classroom. This project will honor Loveland math teacher and coach Steve Kenyon, who died suddenly last year, and create a lasting legacy on the LHS campus.
Steve Kenyon was a Loveland graduate, teacher, and coach who had an immeasurable impact on Loveland High School and our entire Loveland community. The Steve Kenyon Outdoor Memorial Classroom will be a lasting tribute to his love of teaching, the outdoors, and sports by creating a versatile outdoor learning space available for all students at Loveland High School.
The space will allow students to recharge outdoors in a calming space and bring greater enthusiasm for their classwork. This project has been envisioned by students on the Loveland High School Green Team and in Tigers Inc., with the support and encouragement of the Kenyon family and the backing of the Loveland Schools Foundation.
The Steve Kenyon Outdoor Memorial Classroom will be almost entirely community-funded, and donations of any amount are appreciated. You can follow this link to donate, and if you have any questions about the project, please contact Tigers Inc. teacher Craig Murnan at murnancr@lovelandschools.org or LHS Green Team teacher Tonya Nkhata at nkhatato@lovelandschools.org.
