We will continue our tradition of the last day (May 30) of school being a half day. Students will be dismissed at 12:20 pm with the intent that buses exit the parking lot at 12:25 pm. Parent pick-up will begin at 12:15 pm. Please note we will not serve breakfast on May 30. On May 1, students brought home information about ordering a snack bag for the final day of school.

Y-Club will operate as normal on the morning of Friday May 30th; however, there will be no extended Y-Club at your child's elementary school or the YMCA in the afternoon due to early dismissal. We appreciate your understanding as this afternoon allows us to move Summer Day Camp materials into the High School and be ready to open on the first day of summer vacation without a delay. During the course of this school year, your child participated in POLAR Time. We evaluate the program annually. Please click on this link to complete the survey. The information you provide will help us not only to evaluate our work this year, but also to plan for next year. Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Dear Parent and/or Guardian,

Please make arrangements to pick up your child’s medication by Wednesday June 4th. The office will be open between the hours of Monday - Wednesday, 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. All medications must be picked up by a parent or guardian. Students are not permitted to take medication home on the bus except students with self-carry orders. Any medication not picked up by June 6th will be disposed of. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the school clinic.

Students completing grades 3, 4, and 5 who will be enrolled in Jackson Local during the 25-26 school year will bring home their devices, cases, and chargers for the summer. Please help your child keep track of these materials. As a rule of thumb, the computer should ALWAYS stay in its case.

K-5 students will turn in their ID badges on the last day of school. Students will then receive them at the beginning of next year.

Outstanding student fee invoices will be sent home to families on Monday, May 5, 2025. Fees can be paid by check made out to Jackson Local Schools and sent in with your student, or you may click this link to pay fees online.

Please complete this quick google form to let us know if your children are not returning to Lake Cable in 25-26. This information helps us plan for next year. This is for current K-4 students (not current grade 5 students who will go to JMMS).

If your 5th grade student will advance to Jackson Memorial Middle School for the 2025-2026 school year and needs transportation, please email the Transportation Department at busgarage@jackson.sparcc.org prior to August 1st to arrange busing. Please include your student’s name, address, and if they will need AM and /or PM busing.

Save the date for our annual Open House! It will be Thursday, August 14 from 4:30-6:30 pm. We hope to see you there!

The Backpack Food Program, a partnership with RiverTree Jackson, is a service we are

pleased to offer to the families of Jackson Local Schools. This program aims to send home a variety of easy, ready-to-eat meals and snacks for your child over the weekend. There are no income requirements for this program. The bags will be delivered to your child’s school, and your child can bring home the bag. Please complete this quick application to apply to be part of the Backpack Food Program.

The Jackson Local School District believes in partnering with parents and providing them with resources to help navigate the world of technology, games, and social media. While advances in technology have many great rewards, there is also the potential for harm. Since December, we have provided a resource and hope more parents and students, as appropriate by age, will take advantage of this.

We have partnered with SmartSocial.com for its on-demand courses for parents and students. The SmartSocial resources cover a wide range of digital and social media topics. We are providing a parent subscription package to these resources to help you learn how to navigate the negative (and positive) parts of social media with your students.
