Madonna Catholic School News
May 1, 2025
Dear Madonna Catholic School Community,
In this Sunday’s Gospel, we hear the beautiful story of Jesus walking with two disciples on the road to Emmaus. At first, they don’t recognize Him—but as they talk and share a meal, their hearts begin to change. Finally, when Jesus breaks bread with them, their eyes are opened, and they realize it is Him.
For our elementary students, this story reminds us that Jesus is always walking with us, even when we don’t notice. Whether we’re in class, playing with friends, or helping at home, Jesus is close, ready to guide us and fill our hearts with joy—especially when we gather, pray, and share with others, just like the disciples did.
Community Reminder:
Next Thursday, we invite all families to join us for our Potluck Cultural Dinner. This is a special time to celebrate the many beautiful cultures that make up our community. Bring a dish that reflects your heritage, and let’s enjoy music, food, and fun together as one united family. Let’s walk together like the disciples—and recognize Jesus in each other.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Shoe Drive Success!
An incredible 570 pairs of shoes have been collected by our school community!! Thank you to Mrs. Njogu and the grade 4 students who helped support this initiative and redirected so many shoes from ending up in our local landfills. Another great example of being great stewards of the earth. Way to go Madonna!!
