As we embrace the spirit of November, we are reminded of gratitude and community. This month, our school is excited to focus on giving back and showing appreciation for all that we have.
In the spirit of giving, we are hosting a Food Drive from **November 1st to November 29th**. Our goal is to collect non-perishable food items to support local families in need. Please see the info below. Food items can be brought to the school lobby during school hours.
We are also looking forward to honoring our Veterans on Nov. 12. This is one of our favorite days at Fox! Please see the information below and click the link if you are a Veteran and would like to attend our assembly.
Lastly, as the weather is changing please remember we do still go outside to play when the temps are above 20 degrees (windchill). Please make sure your children come to school prepared with a jacket, mittens and hats and that these items are labeled with their name.
Wishing you a wonderful November filled with warmth and appreciation!
Ashley Gray and Laurie Condon

KISS AND GO LANE: Cold weather drop off:
Families, please share this info with anyone that drops off your child:
As the weather gets colder and snowier, please prepare for longer lines in the morning.
- We open the doors and allow students inside at 7:50 every day, so you don't have to wait until 8 to drop off.
- We will mark tardies starting at 8 am even if it is snowing.
- When you enter the drive thru lane, please make sure your child stays in the car until you get to the yellow line. It is not safe to drop off near the light.
- Please drive all the way to the end of the drop off line every time.
- We have lots of staff outside to help your children get out of the car and inside safely.
- PLEASE do not exit your car.
- If you need to get out to help your child, please park your car in the lot.
- We have lots of kids to get inside the school in a very short amount of time and we need everyone to follow the directions.
- We will wave you on and provide guidance if you forget to go all the way forward.
- When cars stop at the front door, this causes a back up at the light and creates unsafe crossing for friends that walk to school.
- PLEASE help us keep everyone safe.

Fox Hollow Food for Friends:
Food For Friends is a community service program run by the PTO. This program supplies our own FHE families, and our sponsored CCSD elementary school, with balanced meals for the weekend (whom may not otherwise have access). The PTO arranges for FHE students to complete bimonthly fulfillments. They pack grocery bags with a variety of food items that get sent home to families in need. This helps our students gain awareness of food insecurities, allows them to engage in community service projects, and leaves them feeling good about the difference they've made in their community
If you are looking for a service project for your Boy Scout or Girl Scout Troop, email FoxHollowPTOCommunityVP@gmail.com for details.
Greetings! Our P.E. classes are doing a variety of skills and sports right now. When you talk to your student(s), they will be able to tell you what specific sports they have covered. All students finished their spatial awareness, teamwork, and sportsmanship week. All students have completed soccer. Several got some extra practice with push ups each time they touched the ball with their hands! 😊 Some classes will be working on volleyball and others have/will be moving on to football! Students are finding that there are several games that can be played to practice the skills in specific sports without playing the actual sport! For example, the new favorite, Pin Ball Knock Down to practice shooting at a target (and defending that target) in soccer.
Kindergarten students have moved on to a variety of tag games! And when I say variety, there is a LARGE variety! These games work on spatial awareness, kindness, cooperation, strategy, and aerobic activity! Be sure to talk to your kindergartner about Fairy GodPerson Tag, SpongeBob Tag, and Knights and Dragons – just to name a few!
Just a friendly reminder that we will have Field Day in May. Mark your calendars for Friday, May 9, 2025! This fun-filled day is a student favorite and we LOVE to have lots of parent volunteers for it! There will be more information about this in 2025!
Thank you!

Greetings from the Music classroom!
We are well into our school year at this point and students are settled into our music routines and rules by this point. Your peek into the music class this month is centered around our class culture goals of Growth and Respect. My highest non-music priorities are to develop great mindsets and patterns of how we treat others and ourselves. Our goal of Respect encourages students to lift their eyes and notice the people around them and look to meet a want or need that they see. Our goal of Growth is focused on how we view ourselves. I encourage students that no one is perfect and each of us is at different points in our lives. We can always improve and grow in whatever area we choose; no one is stuck. This rotation I am handing the responsibility of recognizing Growth and Respect to the students! I ask them to notice those around them who show those goals through their actions and I randomly choose some students to share their observations. I’m hoping to build a classroom community that looks for the positive around them.
Ask your student what songs and activities they are working on in class! I bet they have some great stories for you! As always, please reach out to me with any questions or curiosities. I’d be happy to talk with you in person or electronically.

Art To Remember
Our school is participating in a creative fundraiser with Art to Remember. Stay tuned for more details regarding dates. The Website will live soon! Expect an update Mid- November.
You can purchase keepsake products customized with your child's art. There are over 50 products to choose from and a percentage of every order goes right back to our school.
You are welcome to use the art image that I upload for your student(s) or choose your own image and upload it as well.
Thank you in advance for your continued support!

This round in STEM, 5th and 4th grade students will practice with visual block code using Scratch. Scratch is a visual programming language and online community that allows users to create interactive media like games, stories, and animations. Students drag and drop code blocks to create projects. Fifth graders will create a story and 4th graders will create a game. Second grade students are using the design process to build a small chair for their stuffed animal. We will research different types of chairs and then each group will spend one day completing one group member's chair before moving on to the next chair.
Robotics Club: Registration is now closed. I will be emailing families this weekend to let you know you have been accepted. Sessions will be on Thursdays beginning November 7th.
