February is shaping up to be an incredibly exciting month, full of meaningful celebrations and milestones. It kicks off with Black History Month, a time to honor and reflect on the incredible contributions and history of Black Americans, while also celebrating their cultural impact. Los of classroom considerations. February 3-7 is School Counselor Week, a chance to recognize the invaluable support and guidance that counselor Kristy Draher has brought to our students. Valentine's Day celebrated on February 13th adds a festive touch, offering an opportunity to spread love, friendship and appreciation to those around us. Additionally, Kindness Week, the week of February 19th, encourages us all to practice compassion and spread positivity, reminding us how small acts of kindness can make a big difference in our communities. This month Northridge Elementary will also be gearing up for the completion of the second semester, which brings both the excitement of progress and the anticipation of new challenges. Around Presidents' Day, February 17th, is also a time for us to remember the importance of strong leadership and the ongoing role that these leaders play in shaping the country’s values and future. This month Northridge Elementary will also be gearing up for the completion of the second semester, which brings both the excitement of progress and the anticipation of new challenges. We have so much to celebrate and learn! It will be a great month. Your support and partnership mean the world to us.

The flu usually comes on suddenly. People who have the flu often feel some or all of these symptoms:
Fever* or feeling feverish/chills
Cough
Sore throat
Runny or stuffy nose
Muscle or body aches
Headaches
Fatigue (tiredness)
Some people may have vomiting and diarrhea
**** It’s important to note that not everyone with flu will have a fever
