Grandparents Day is a special occasion dedicated to honoring the wisdom, love, and legacy of our grandparents. It is a day to express our unwavering support and affection as we display the unconditional love for our grandparents.

At Nixon, everyone works hard to ensure academic success and great character habits are being established each day! Take a look at the great things going on in the building.

With this hands-on approach, scholars gain the personal knowledge needed to make academically based decisions regarding their level of standards mastery. This process is an individualized task, designed to pin point scholars' strengths and weaknesses. Teachers provide the materials and resources necessary to support scholars in acquiring the knowledge needed to show academic and behavioral growth.

1. Scholar of the Month program: October 2nd at 9:00a.m.

2. Check Out ends each day at 2:30p.m.

3. Progress Reports were sent home Thursday, September 12th

4. Scholars will have homework each night Monday - Thursday.

Please complete and/or update your child's emergency contact information and give it to Ms. Shorter, school secretary or your child's teacher. We are updating our scholar information system and would like to have all updated contact information.

Nixon has already started hosting Parent-Teacher conferences!!! Thank you to all parents who have conferenced with us thus far. We will have all conferences completed by September 27th. We will also continue sending schedules home for parents to select three times that are best for you if you have not conferenced with your child(ten) teacher. We are looking forward to seeing you!
