Week of 9/23
HMS Weekly Update
Week of September 23, 2024
Dear Parents/Guardians,
We have another busy week ahead of us! Please be sure to take the time to read through our newsletter so you are aware of all that is going on!
To accommodate our intervention groupings, we have updated our master schedule and in turn, student schedules. Students will receive a new schedule on Monday so they know which intervention group to go to. The bell schedule was updated as well, but our start and end times do not change. The bell schedule is posted below.
If you have an 8th grader who would like to go to Washington DC, make plans to attend the parent/guardian meeting on Wednesday, September 25th at 6:30 pm.
Information regarding our first E-book fair is listed below. You can start to order on Monday, September 23rd!
Finally, our first round of parent/teacher conferences will be held next Thursday, October 3rd. We will send out an email with a scheduling link.
Best regards,
Mr. Endres, Principal
Ms. Coalter, Assistant Principal
New Bell Schedule
We have made some minor adjustments to our building schedule. This does not affect the start or end of the day, it only affects class times during the day.
This new schedule will start on Monday, September 23rd.
Parent/Teacher Conferences
Parent/Teacher Conferences will take place Thursday, October October 3rd. We will send out an email regarding scheduling early this week.
Start with Hello/Stay in the Game Week
This past week, HMS participated in the Start with Hello Campaign, which raises awareness to the growing epidemic of social isolation and empowers young people to create a culture of inclusion and connectedness within our school. All students spent a few minutes each day during Ranger Time learning about the Start with Hello Campaign. 8th grade student council members spent their Ranger Time on Monday decorating our sidewalks with kind messages for students to see after school as they left our building. These students also posted positive affirmations on student lockers on Tuesday. Monday was Bright Futures Day. Tuesday was Dress for Success Day. Wednesday was a National Green Day. Thursday was Team Spirit Day. Friday was We Are Rangers Day. Start with Hello is not just a week long campaign, but rather a year long initiative!
Hamilton Middle School's FIRST ever E-Book Fair!
Our Book Fair goes LIVE on Monday, September 23rd. Please see the link below to order.

What is PBIS?
PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports.
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is an evidence-based, tiered framework for supporting students’ behavioral, academic, social, emotional, and mental health.
