Student Achievement
In Mrs. Buccafurni-Tabasso and Mrs. Hickman’s small group, they read a story called, CeCe Loves Science and made elephant tooth paste! They learned about what a Catalyst and an Exothermic Reaction are.
Mrs. Pfaeffli and some of her students from Davenport and Slaybaugh 1st grade reviewed the primary colors and the color wheel. During their Zoom Art time, we went on a color hunt in our houses to make a Zoom Color Wheel! Instead of saying "cheese," we had fun all saying the name of each color for each picture. It was a great way to connect and do something together to make art!
Ms. Katie’s class had a busy Month of May! We finished up our Signs of Spring Unit with lots of insects and planting. We read the book Bear Wakes Up and made our own Bear Dens. This week we are Celebrating American Symbols and starting our Fine Motor Journals!
Mrs. Schwegman’s First Grade class is learning about nouns, adjectives, and verbs. They put all of their knowledge together and created Cinquain poems. Great job friends!

Mrs. Schwegman’s class learned about Memorial Day! They participated in a ‘How to Draw’ video of the American (heart) Flag. They did a great job with their drawings! They added a fact to their drawing and thanked all of our heros for serving and protecting our country. Happy Memorial Day!
