Families,
As we approach Veterans Day, we will take a moment to reflect on the significance of this day and how it ties into the classroom experiences.
Next week, we’ll be discussing the importance of honoring those who have served in the military. Students will learn about the sacrifices veterans have made for our freedom and the values of respect and gratitude. We encourage you to share stories or experiences from family members who have served, as personal connections can deepen understanding.
In addition, we have explored the concept of voting and civic engagement. The discussions included why voting is important in a democratic society and how every voice matters. Through age-appropriate activities, students gained a foundational understanding of their rights and responsibilities as citizens.
Together, let’s foster a sense of community and appreciation for those who protect our freedoms, as well as empower our children to think about their role in shaping the future.

Open House & PTA pizza dinner on November 14
Come to our open house on November 14 from 5:00- 6:30pm. The PTA will offer a pizza dinner in the cafeteria (more info on that below). Visit the classrooms! Scholastic Book Fair will be open. Lost & Found will be out on a table. Take a look while you're here!
Our next PTA meeting is on Monday November 11th at 6:30 PM in the media center and on Zoom. Here is a draft agenda. To have the most accurate information, we will update the budget numbers on Monday the 11th. We will be taking time in the meeting for questions on each of the reports (President, Secretary and Treasurer) rather than presenting on each item. This is based on feedback from PTA membership. Other than voting on approving the minutes from the last meeting, we will have one vote for a grant request. Details on this are in the agenda. We will also be receiving a general update from Principal Behnke of what's been happening at Falcon - what our kids have been doing and learning.
Join us prior to the PTA meeting at 6:15 for an open forum/listening session with Principal Behnke. Folks will have an opportunity to ask questions/make comments. We'll also have forms available for folks to ask questions in an asynchronous format. The PTA meeting will begin promptly at 6:30 pm both in-person and on Zoom. We will do our best to finish by 7:30.
We are looking for volunteers for the Pizza Dinner on November 14th. Please sign up to help with the donation box and serving food.
