Saturday, August 31 at 9:00 am, will offer high school students a morning filled with insightful sessions and panel discussion designed to help kickstart your exposure to various careers and steps to build your skill sets. Our event will feature industry experts and professionals who will share valuable career tips and advice to help you succeed in the ever-evolving job market. Don't miss this opportunity to network with like-minded individuals and gain the skills needed to be career ready in 2024. This event will be offered online as well as in-person.
Sunday, September 1 at 2:00 pm, we are hosting our first Texas Classic Domino Tournament and encourage you to bring your competitive spirit. More than 200 domino players are invited to compete for over $5,000 in cash and prizes, including a UDL Championship belt and trophies. Welcoming spectators, the event is expected to attract hundreds of attendees from all over Texas and the surrounding areas. Supporters of the fundraiser Domino Tournament will enjoy live music, a comedian, DJ, raffles, vendors, and a special celebrity guest, all coming together to raise money for a good cause.

Now is the time to share our GFGSF application for college scholarship with 2024 high school graduates! High school seniors who graduated Class of 2024 still have time to submit an application by August 31. Apply online
The Grace Fort Gouldsby Scholarship Foundation awards scholarships for the purpose of recognizing high school seniors in the state of Texas who have demonstrated outstanding and committed service in their community as well as academic excellence. This award is intended to provide financial assistance to such students in attaining their educational and career goals.
Scholarship Award:
The Grace Fort Gouldsby Foundation Scholarship will award a minimum of one scholarship a year to a Texas high school senior planning on attending an accredited college or university. The Scholarship will award $2,000 to the student and will be dispersed bi-annually. Book scholarships are also awarded.
Eligibility Requirements:
To be eligible for the Grace Fort Gouldsby Scholarship Foundation award you must:
- Be accepted to attend an accredited College or University
- Be a graduating high school senior and must graduate prior to September 1 of the Award year
- Must be a Texas resident
- Demonstrate academic excellence and community service
The deadline for application submission is August 31 for seniors who graduated high school in 2024. Apply online
