Weekly Parent Update
November 24th, 2024
Saint Bridget School: a Catholic community that encourages a love of God, respect for all, and academic excellence.
Principal's Notes
As we look ahead to a week where we gather to express our gratitude, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for choosing Saint Bridget School as the place where your children grow, learn, and flourish. The faculty, staff and I love being part of their academic achievements but also their spiritual, social, and emotional development.
Your trust in our mission to encourage a love of God, foster respect for all, and to provide a strong education means the world to us. Every day, we witness the joy and curiosity your children bring to our classrooms, and it reaffirms the incredible blessing of this school community.
Please know that your commitment to Catholic education is deeply appreciated by every member of our faculty and staff. Thank you for being such an integral part of our Saint Bridget family. May God bless you and your loved ones abundantly in the week ahead.
May you have a wonderful Thanksgiving....remember to gobble till you wobble!
All my best,
Matthew Collins
Principal
Faith Formation - Weekly Affirmation
Our focus this coming week is ~ God’s Got the Answers
James 1:5, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”
As we continue to learn new things every day, we should remember that true wisdom comes from God. If we need help understanding our lessons or making good decisions, we pray to God and He will provide us with the wisdom we need.

Teacher Spotlight - Mrs. McDonald, Guidance
This week in Mrs. McDonald’s guidance classes, students have been talking about Thanksgiving and being thankful. First, Mrs. McDonald read the students a story about what it means to be thankful. Then, she asked the students to tell what they are thankful for. Many of the students said they were thankful for parents, siblings, grandparents, and pets. It was also nice to hear that students said they were thankful for teachers, the school, and friends. After listening to the story and sharing, the students had a chance to draw and write about what they are thankful for. Mrs. McDonald’s guidance classes give students a chance to think about gratitude, kindness, and friendship which is an important way to be mindful and practice Christian values.
Mrs. McDonald’s favorites: holiday: Christmas; coffee/ tea order: English Breakfast tea with milk; flower: tulips; cookie: ginger snaps; place to shop: anything online!; season: winter ; Disney character: Goofy.
