Superintendent's Spotlight
Summer 2025

"When schools thrive, communities thrive."
A Message From Dr. Lisa Krueger...
Greetings!
As we wrap up an incredible school year, I would like to thank our amazing faculty and staff for their hard work and dedication to our students. I would also like to thank our parents, caregivers and residents for the continued support of our school district.
Throughout the summer, our administrators, clerical staff, cleaners, custodians, computer support techs, buildings & grounds staff and many others are working hard to ensure we are ready to welcome students back on September 2. We will continue to share information with families throughout the summer through our website, social media and email communications to families. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
Below are some important items to be aware of. Additional information on these topics can be found within this newsletter.
Distraction-Free Learning Environment
A New York State law will prohibit students from using their personal internet-enabled devices during the school day starting in September. Building principals will be communicating additional details on their building procedures to ensure devices are off and away for the day.
Raptor Visitor Management System
Beginning this fall, all visitors entering the building during the school day will be required to present government issued identification, which will be processed through our Visitor Management System.
Reading Rover
The Reading Rover will be out and about this summer, distributing free books to children throughout the West Seneca community. We hope to see you this summer, and to share our love of reading with the children of our community.
In closing, our school community of educators celebrated the graduating Class of 2025 in June. This milestone achievement is the result of years of the dedication of the students and their support systems. I would like to thank our dedicated faculty, staff, and administrators who support our students. To our parents and entire school community, thank you for your support of our students and the West Seneca Central School District. We are so incredibly proud of the Class of 2025 and look forward to celebrating the accomplishments of the Class of 2026!
With West Seneca Pride,
Dr. Lisa Krueger

Welcome to our newly elected Board Members & Ex-Officio Student Board Members!
Yesterday evening at our Board of Education Re-Organizational Meeting, Zach Armstrong & Ed Bedient were sworn in and took a seat at the table for a three-year term.
Most notably, we now have two students (one from East Senior, one from West Senior), along with two alternates, who will serve as our Ex-Officio Student Board Members. This will be a great way to include student voice and perspectives during Board discussions.
The Student Board members are non-voting members and will not have access to confidential information nor will they attend Executive Sessions.
All of these meetings, as they have been in the past, are recorded and linked on our website to view at any time by visiting the BOE Livestream page on our district website: www.wscschools.org/BOElivestream
Pictured below (in no particular order) are our new Ex-Officio Student Board Members, Board President re-elect, Ed Bedient and Dr. Krueger:
