Important School-Wide Information
PARENTS Submit Your Interest in Serving on the 2024-2025 LVA S.O.T - School Organizational Team
In accordance with Assembly Bill 469, each CCSD school will create a School Organizational Team (SOT) made up of elected licensed staff, education support professionals, parents/guardians, and students, as well as one or more optional, non-elected community members who will assist the principal in making important decisions that impact the school.
WHAT IS THE ROLE OF THE SCHOOL ORGANIZATIONAL TEAM?
- Provide input on the school performance plan and budget.
- Provide continued advice to the Principal in carrying out the school plan.
- Assist with the selection of the next Principal when there is a vacancy.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS OF TEAM MEMBERS?
- Begin attending meetings in October 2024.
- Serve on the team through September 30, 2025, unless your child no longer attends the school.
- Attend regularly scheduled meetings on the first Wednesday of the month, most often at 7:00 am in the school library. (Additional meetings may occur as needed.)
- Make decisions with the whole population in mind.
- Work collaboratively and attempt to reach a consensus with the team.

Junior Reminder! Deadline September 5! Order and Pay for Your PSAT/NMSQT in the School Bank
The National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test will take place the week of October 14 at LVA. The exact date will be announced next week. Juniors who wish to take the exam may reserve a test for $18. The deadline to pay is September 5. Pay by cash or check in the school bank.
The PSAT/NMSQT is the only qualifying test for the the National Merit® Scholarship Program, an academic competition for recognition and scholarships conducted by National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC). For more information, visit www.nationalmerit.org.

CCSD Student & Employee Listening Sessions
CCSD wants to hear from you!
The goal of the student and employee listening sessions is to create a platform where both students of all school levels, and employees of all classifications, can voice their opinions, concerns, and suggestions regarding their experiences within the Clark County School District (CCSD). These sessions aim to gather valuable insights into the needs and perspectives of both groups.
