William Gay ECC News

We have had a great week at William Gay ECC. Our students are really getting into a routine and they are amazing! The teachers and staff at this school are the best! Watching them interact with your children is so much fun-every adult here loves their work and they love your children. Each child here is blessed to have them in their lives!

We will have a Parent Title One meeting on Monday, September 9th at 5:00. We hope you can join us to discover why we are a Title One School and what it means to you and your child. We will see you soon!!

Please get out and vote on Tuesday, September 10th. There are two propositions to vote upon-Proposition No 1 is for technology and STEM classrooms for Parker Intermediate Center, Puterbaugh Middle School, and MHS. Proposition No.2 is for vehicles for pupil transportation. Our students need your support--they are our most important asset and we must provide for their educational needs. Thank you for making them a priority. We all appreciate you!

Thank you for making our car lines go so smoothly. We all appreciate you following the procedures and for your understanding in using the car lines for the safety of our students. Our car lines are some of the fastest in town because of YOU and because our teachers and staff are amazing!

Our attendance is extremely important. Remember, we are trying to be an A school instead of an F school due to our attendance. Your child should always be in school, rested, and on time. Now that your child is in Kindergarten, you can receive a ticket that is quite costly if your child misses more than 9 undocumented days. If your child is sick, bring a doctor's note so their absence can be documented and they can get well quickly!

Breakfast for Buddies is September 11th. Any significant adult that would like to eat breakfast with their little buddy can come from 7:30-8:00. The cost is $2.00-please bring exact change.

Our field trip to the Expo will be in the morning. You are welcome to meet us there. This is an educational trip that is part of our day. We will all return back to school to finish our day. Thank you for understanding.

We will have shirts for sale soon. Flyers will come home when it is time to order.

Please bring your ID when picking up your child during the day. This is not meant to be inconvenient, but is for your child's safety. Our kiosk will be working soon.

Beyond the Bell is going well. The payment is now $25.00/week whether you come every day or not. We have to pay our teacher's salaries daily. Thank you for understanding.

Kindergarten is the beginning our your child's success story. Thank you for taking this part of their educational journey so seriously. We are learning more than reading and math...we are learning how to be good friends, good citizens, and how to understand our feelings and emotions. Your children are precious...enjoy them every chance you get!
