Promote Digital Citizenship in Your Classroom!
Did you know that TEA released new Technology Application TEKS for grades K-8 to be implemented beginning with the 2024-2025 school year? As educators, we have to do our part to promote a healthy, balanced, and positive approach to media and tech use among young people. Our students live in a digital world, so let's support them by integrating digital citizenship into your lessons and discussions.
New Technology Applications TEKS 2024-2025
Strand: Digital Citizenship. Students practice ethical and effective application of technology and develop an understanding of cybersecurity and the impact of a digital footprint to become safe, productive, and respectful digital citizens. You can view all the new TA TEKS here: Technology Applications K–8 Vertical Alignment
