New hire recommendations have been made to the BOE. Those recommendations were reviewed last night and include the following:

• Millikin Music: Ms. Christine Rogers

• Millikin 3rd Grade: Mrs. Nicole Ruthaivilavan

• Northside 4th Grade: Ms. Makayla Partlow

• Southwest 4th Grade: Ms. Jenna Delaria

We are excited to have these professionals joining our team. We believe they will bring great energy and ideas to our teams and district.

Does your project fit under the funding criteria?

• Teachers submit grants for their projects. The GEF Board of Directors review the grant requests and determine which grants to fund, based on a number of criteria, including:
• Total amount of funds available for distribution
• Number of students affected by projects
• Distribution of funds to all grade levels
• Projects that produce materials and programs that will benefit future students
• Innovative methods and techniques

I'm looking for 1-2 Southwest staff members to serve on the PTA Scholarship Committee. Committee members score 10-20 senior applications with a provided rubric and that helps determines which two Geneseo seniors will receive the SW PTA Scholarships. If you're willing to help, please let Brian know.
