Hello Corvallis Community,

Yesterday was Veteran's Day where we honor those who fight to protect our liberities. I honor those who serve and their families for their sacrafices.

World Kindness Day is tomorrow. We will have some activities for our students and staff to mindfully practice kindness.

1. I have created a Kindness Bingo that you all may use with your classes. The file is attached to this email.
2. There will be post its on the bulletin board by the office for students and staff to stop by and leave a kind message (or picture!) for everyone.
3. If weather permits, I will have a card-making station out on the blacktop during recess for any students who choose to create a kind card for someone else.

Family Math Night is Wednesday, November 20th. Come learn some fun new math games to play with your student.

When dropping off your child's lunch please be sure their name is on the lunch. It isn't easy to keep track of all the lunches and whose goes where. The basket outside will be collected at 11:15 each day.

All of our classrooms need donations of tissues, cleaning wipes, paper towels, and bandaids.

Every school day is a day of learning for our students. It's important that students are in class on time and ready to learn. Our students line up at 8:33 and are in classrooms at 8:35.

Students entering the building from 8:35-8:45 will be greeted by our staff and given a tardy slip to take to class. After 8:45 students will report to the office to obtain a tardy slip.

If your child will not attend school on a particular day you may email cor.att@slzusd.org or call 510-317-4999. Please leave a voice mail. Our office checks it several times a day.

Many of our students suffer anxiety. As a parent, I know how helpless we can feel when our children are suffering. Here is an article that talks about some things parents can do at home. Please reach out to your child's teacher to discuss your concerns. We want to help you and your child work through the anxiety and enjoy school.

Ever think to yourself, I need a new Corvallis sweatshirt? Or my child is new to Corvallis and really wants a t-shirt? We have an online store front. The items are shipped directly to you and part of the proceeds go directly to Corvallis Elementary.
