Principal's Corner
Dear Franklin Family,
As we approach the end of the 2023-2024 school year, I am thrilled to share some wonderful news with you. Our school has made tremendous strides in academic achievement, thanks to the collective effort of our dedicated students, hardworking teachers, and supportive parents and guardians.
This year, we are proud to announce that our students have achieved an impressive 70% proficiency in English Language Arts (ELA) and also a 70% proficiency in Math. These remarkable results are a testament to the commitment and perseverance of our entire school community.
Achieving these high standards was no small feat. It required the collaboration and determination of everyone involved. Our teachers have gone above and beyond to provide engaging and effective instruction, our students have worked diligently to reach their academic goals, and you, our parents and guardians, have played a crucial role in supporting your children every step of the way.
Your involvement—whether through attending school events, supporting home routines, encouraging reading at home, or simply fostering a positive attitude towards learning—has been invaluable. It is this strong partnership between home and school that has made such a significant difference in our students' academic success.
As we celebrate these achievements, we are also motivated to continue striving for excellence. Our goal remains to achieve an A designation, and with the momentum we have built this year, I am confident that we can reach even greater heights together.
Thank you for your unwavering support, encouragement, and belief in our school's mission. Together, we are creating a nurturing and high-achieving environment for our children, setting them on a path to lifelong success.
Let's continue this journey of excellence, united in our commitment to providing the best education possible for our students.
Your proud principal,
Sergio Delgado

Have you done your Service Hours Yet?
With the deadline for parent volunteer service hours rapidly approaching, June 10, 2024, it's essential to plan and complete these hours efficiently. Here are a few strategies to ensure you meet the requirement on time:
- Review Your Hours: Start by checking how many hours you have already completed and how many are still needed. This will give you a clear target to aim for. Please log into your Raptor account here to be able to review your hours.
- Make sure you are checking your Power School account and in order for your to be completed with your service hours it MUST say 8.0 or plus hours. If it shows 7.9 and below it will not show as completed.
- Identify Available Opportunities: Reach out to your child's teacher(s). They often have a list of volunteer opportunities, especially as the deadline nears. Popular options include helping at school events, cafeteria, AM and PM carline duties.
- Schedule Your Time: With your remaining hours in mind, plan specific date and times when you can volunteer. Look for activities that fit into your schedule, and consider committing to several shorter sessions if you can't do a long shift.
- Document Your Hours: Keep a log of your volunteer activities, including dates, times, and tasks completed. This will make it easier to verify your hours with the school or organization. Click here to access the service hour log for off campus hours.
By following these steps, you can efficiently complete your parent volunteer service hours and contribute meaningfully.
