The A-G Student of the Week is Reagan Dukes,
nominated by Mrs. Smith.
RT is goal-oriented and a great decision-maker. He sets an example of excellence in our classroom, on the football field, basketball court, and everywhere else. RT demonstrates a genuine interest in the subject material and a desire to help others. As a leader, he is receptive of others’ feedback and willing to compromise. RT's likeable nature, commitment to his studies, and natural confidence inspires positivity in others and fosters a culture of civility at Leaman. - Jalynn Smith
The H-O Student of the Week is Alayham Hameed,
nominated by Mrs. Lacount.
Alayham is such a bright student. He is a joy to have in my class. There is not a day that goes by that Alayham doesn't greet me when he walks into the classroom, then tells me to have a good day upon leaving for the day. Alayham works hard, asks questions, and turns his work in on time. - Alicia Lacount
The P-Z Student of the Week is Priya Patel,
nominated by Mrs. Reyna.
Priya is so sweet and the most reliable kid. She works hard, and does her very best all the time. - Katie Reyna
A Note from Mr. Semmler
1) Parents, if you were unable to attend the Zoom meeting regarding course selection for our incoming 7th and 8th graders here is the link to watch the recording. Your students will bring home a paper copy to sign and return to the counselors. Also, every student must login to Skyward and input their course selection when the window opens.

PBIS Donations
PBIS Expectations & Rewards - PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports. One large piece is explaining expectations upfront. Another piece is rewarding students when we see those focused on positive behaviors. 3 campus-wide expectations posters (CLICK HERE) are placed throughout the campus. Teachers will take time during the first day or two to explain these rules in detail and help students understand what they look like. Our campus is also implementing new software (Classcraft) to encourage students to earn rewards and use them in many different ways. Here is a short video on how Classcraft works: https://youtu.be/M2uqd9ZOMaw. Please have your child download the app on their device and log into Classlink on the LCISD webpage (at the top) to start to explore what this is all about. They do NOT need a phone to do this. It can be done on a laptop or computer.
Parents if you are interested in donating to the PBIS school store the following list is a great start. We accept all donations both monetary and items.
We are excited to announce that H-E-B is a proud sponsor of the PBIS Store at Leaman.
If your company would like to sponsor the store, please contact Mr. Kracker, Mr. Gilmore or Ms. Session for more information.
