SAFE AND CARING SCHOOLS
GSACRD Voice
Helping Your Teen Challenge Their Thoughts
Everyone has negative thoughts sometimes. However, teenagers tend to struggle with more negative thoughts as they navigate school, friendships, and life changes. When we hear our teens expressing negative self-talk to themselves, it is important to work with them on transforming that negative thinking with a more realistic and helpful perspective. Check out the graphic down below with examples of transforming negative thoughts from Big Life Journal, or visit this link for more ways we can build confidence in our teens.

Growing in Mercy, with the Son
Open Celebration
Thanks to efforts of Father Trini, Mrs. Sansano, Mrs. Bulger, Mrs. King, Mrs. Schmode, student council and all other students who helped, we started off the school year on the right foot with a wonderful opening celebration. Father Trini spoke about the great importance of mercy while the dream team introduced staff and upcoming events for the school year, dished out some great swag and introduced the new Student Council president, Rafferty Myles. What a great way to start the year, thanks Wolves!
Beautiful Bits Of The Bible
Jeremiah 31:33–34, NIV
This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel after that time," declares the Lord. "I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, 'Know the Lord,' because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest," declares the Lord. "For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more."
Jesus Defines the Terms
Gospel Reading - Mark 8:27-35
24rd Sunday, Year C
We want to define Jesus. Isn't that true? We want Jesus to fit into OUR world, make him fit OUR lives, OUR views. But Jesus does us a big favour in this Gospel. Jesus defines who he really is. He leaves no question. Jesus defines the terms.
