Principal's Message
Dear Lord,
We thank You for the gift of our wonderful school community,
and especially for the parents who make
St Jude’s such a special place.
We are deeply thankful for their unwavering support,
their dedication, and their partnership in nurturing
the growth and well-being of our students.
Bless the parents who walk alongside us in this journey,
who volunteer their time, lend their wisdom, and offer encouragement.
We ask that You continue to guide and strengthen them
as they raise their children in faith, love, and wisdom.
May they feel the joy and peace that comes from knowing the important role they play in shaping the future of our school community.
Amen
A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Parent Helpers
We were delighted to have so many of our wonderful parent helpers join us for morning tea this morning. It was a lovely opportunity for us to express our heartfelt appreciation for all that you do throughout the year. Your support and dedication make such a difference to our school community, and we are truly grateful for everything you contribute.
For those parents who were unable to attend, please know that we are equally thankful for all you do to support St Jude’s throughout the year. Your involvement and care are invaluable to us!
Special Call-Out for Christmas Nativity Play Volunteers
On behalf of St Jude's Parish, we are reaching out for your help! Each year, the children of St Jude's School and Parish come together to perform a small Nativity play at the New Year's Eve Mass. However, this year, we are in need of more volunteers to make it a success.
We are especially looking for shepherds and angels to take part in the play. If your child would like to participate and be part of this beautiful tradition, please let us know by contacting the office.
Your support would mean so much in helping us bring this special moment to life for the parish community. We look forward to hearing from you!
Kindy Orientation for 2025 Families
We're excited to welcome our 2025 Kindy families to St Jude's! The Kindy Orientation will take place at 8:45am next Tuesday morning. This will be a wonderful opportunity for our new students and their parents to enjoy a brief introduction to our school community. We look forward to meeting you and can't wait to have you join us in 2025!
Important Parking Reminder
We have recently received some concerns regarding parking practices in the parish car park. A few instances of parking outside designated bays, entering through exits, and exiting through entrances have been brought to our attention.
Please remember that parking in the parish car park is a privilege, not a right. We ask that everyone respects the parking rules to ensure the continued use of this space for school and parish activities.
Let’s work together to ensure we’re all doing our part to keep things running smoothly. Please DO NOT be the one who jeopardizes our ability to use this valuable resource.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
Christmas Concert – Thursday Next Week!
Our much-anticipated Christmas Concert is almost here, taking place on Thursday next week! To help with costume preparations, students are encouraged to wear the base of their costume to school that day. Each class has different costume requirements, and detailed information will be provided to parents. For example, students may need to wear a white shirt and shorts, or a black shirt and pants to school on Thursday, with the rest of the costume being added in the classrooms at 3.45pm —please keep an eye out for your child's specific costume details!
Parents are welcome to stay at school after pick-up, however, you must supervise your child(ren) if they are playing on the ovals or equipment. Our FOSJ team will have refreshments available for sale at the hall from 3:30pm. The concert will take place in the school hall, and we ask that children be in their classrooms by 3:45pm, as we hope to start at 4:00pm.
It is important that all students participate in our concert afternoon, as we are presenting the concert a little differently this year. The classes have been busy rehearsing, and we are excited to showcase their hard work!
If your child has a lead role and is unable to attend, please inform Mrs. Murray (Music Specialist/Year 1 Teacher) as soon as possible, so we can arrange for a replacement.
We can’t wait to celebrate the season together with all of you!
Welcome to Our New School Advisory Council Members for 2025!
We are excited to welcome Mr. Patrick Sealay, Mr. Zubin Bernard, and Mr. Vic D’Souza as the newest members of our School Advisory Council for 2025. These dedicated individuals were nominated unopposed at our ACM on Tuesday evening.
Thank you for stepping forward to represent the parent voice at St Jude’s. We look forward to working together with you and are excited for the year ahead!
Whole-School Transition Day – Friday Next Week
Next Friday, our students will take part in our annual Whole-School Transition Day. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to meet their teacher for 2025 and get a sneak peek at some of the exciting activities planned for the first few weeks of the new school year. We can’t wait to see the excitement and enthusiasm as they prepare for the year ahead!

Keep Valuables Safe!
It can take less than 60 seconds to steal from a vehicle.
Stealing is often a crime of opportunity. A classic example of this is people leaving valuable items like mobile phones, laptops, tablets, bags, and cash on display in vehicles. This is a common and costly issue faced by the community.

"Better Health Program
"You say all the right things to your kids, but they don't always listen to you. So I think hearing it from someone else and hearing so much of the reasoning why all of the different healthy choices we make are important, coming from someone else makes such a big difference."
"I felt like I knew a lot of stuff about being healthy but I didn't quite know how to package that up into a way that I could explain it to the kids and so I wanted to come and learn with them so that we learnt together." – Alex, mum of 3 on the Better Health Program at Bounce
The Better Health Program is a free 10-week initiative focusing on healthy eating, physical activity, sleep, and screen time for primary-aged children. Each child receives free resources, and families are supported by a dietitian or nutritionist each week.
