The Renner Review
February 2024
Howdy Renner Roadrunner Families!
February was a HUGE month for Renner Academy with our second annual Denim and Dazzle Fundraising Gala. We would like to extend a huge thank you to all attendees, donors, and sponsors for supporting Renner Academy. In addition, our sincere appreciation extends to every volunteer and vendor whose contributions enabled us to host this successful gathering. You are the backbone of our endeavors, empowering us to succeed in our mission and vision.
We had an extremely successful and enjoyable event raising approximately $120,000. These funds will go directly back to our school, providing innovative resources for our specialized, individualized instruction, recreational equipment, such as new basketball hoops, student scholarships, professional development, and other operation costs. We are so grateful for the support and hope everyone gained some insight into our mission and the children we serve!
Just a reminder that Renner Academy will be closed the week of March 11-15 for Spring Break and March 29- April 1 in observance of the Easter holiday.
And as always, it's a great day at RA!
GIVE TODAY-SHAPE TOMORROW
WOULD YOU LIKE TO GIVE?
As a new and growing non-profit, specialized private school, Renner Academy’s total operating budget consists solely of student tuition and individual donations and contributions. Having an educational environment rich in multisensory learning resources that integrates auditory, visual, tactile and kinesthetic learning makes a difference, especially to our students with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences. Your donation will directly impact our students' educational success. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
The Roadrunner Rave of the Month is Edward from Mrs. Katy's Advisory group!
Edward stands out for his kindness, dedication, and perseverance. His genuine kindness towards others creates a positive and inclusive environment within his Advisory class. Edward's dedicated work ethic, fueled by his love for learning, not only sets him on a path to success but also motivates his peers. His respectful demeanor and willingness to lend a helping hand further contribute to the harmonious atmosphere, making Edward a truly commendable and well-rounded recipient of this honor.
WAY TO GO EDWARD.
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK! YOU ARE ROCK'N IT RENNER ROADRUNNER!
Meet the Newest Addition to the Renner Family....Bash🐶
Research has shown that having a foster dog program in schools can enrich the learning environment, promote positive social and emotional development, and foster a greater sense of compassion and responsibility among students. Caring for foster dogs can teach students important life skills such as patience, responsibility, and teamwork. It can also provide opportunities for social interaction and bonding among classmates.
Bashful, aka Bash, is the second foster puppy that has been gifted to Renner Academy from our partner, Haven Animal Rescue of Texas. Bash is a 9 month a old, male, Aussie/Terrior Mix. For more information on adoption or to foster your own pet please contact Haven Animal Rescue of Texas at (979) 476-9787.
