Full Circle Community Clearlake

Full Circle Clearlake has been gearing up to fun events in the spring. At our most recent meet-up, we hosted a winter-themed sensory bin party, which was our most attended event yet! We had 11 adults and 16 children present. Ice cube painting was the most popular of the bins and the parents present were able to interact and converse while the toddlers played around with textures in the trays and the babies rolled around in the play rug. Thanks to a grant we received from the Diocese of Texas, we purchased six comfy chairs for new parents and I plan on hosting a newborn group beginning on March 27th at 9am. The newborn group will meet at 9am and the toddler group will continue meeting at 10am on Thursdays. We began our official meetings September 2024 and it took several months to increase attendance of local parents but thanks to consistent hosting, social media exposure, word of mouth recommendations and some paper flyers posted at local libraries and coffee shops, we were able the see the number of attendants increase. The feedback from parents who attend has been very positive and enthusiastic so I foresee our numbers going up and have already begun planning how to fit everyone in the space while keeping things cozy, fun, safe and accessible. The church's staff and parishioners are so excited about our presence there and we definitely have their support and attention. It’s been an amazing time growing a community from scratch and I can't wait to see what we can do together. Hopefully the second half of the year includes clothing and toy swaps and possibly diaper pantries!

Full Circle Community San Marcos

Hello from San Marcos Chapter Director, Randi Finn! As I write this, I’m expecting to give birth any day now. In my temporary absence, Morgan Love Dabelgott has dedicated her Mondays to ensuring our community always has a place to gather. We’re calling it Mondays Together - a circle for new moms and playtime for all ages. Morgan creates a safe space for babies inside the circle while providing activities for older kids outside of it. It’s free and open to everyone, every Monday from 10 AM to 12 PM in the Preschool Building at 3039 Ranch Road 12.

Looking back on these last few months and my initiation into this leadership role, the memories we’ve created bring a smile to my face. Tamara’s sweet going-away party and potluck feast. Epic bubble parties with the San Marcos “Bubble Guy.” A growing homeschool group that co-created a fossil identification walk, a kids’ woodworking class, and a board game session at a local senior living residence. A child-led, wild and free Forest School. Gifts from the community to new moms, like a birth class, breastfeeding support, a pelvic floor care class, and a prompted birth story journaling circle. And, of course, the heart of our community - the chill and comfy weekly New Moms Circle. And we did it all for free! All you have to do to join is show up.

Right now, it’s a season of hibernation, both for Full Circle San Marcos and for me personally. When my last baby was born, I didn’t know a single person here - I did it all alone. This time, I’ll have friends bringing me food during postpartum, helping with my kids, checking in on me, and even lighting candles for me when I go into labor. I 100% have the Full Circle community to thank for this huge shift in my life. As I practice the humbling act of receiving, I’m already imagining how I can give back in the most meaningful ways when I return in March. How can I use my role in this group to make space for deeper connections? How can I reach the people who need community most? Expect new seeds to be planted this spring, and know that I’m fully committed to giving back all that I’ve been given.

You can expect last year’s New Moms Mondays and Preschool Wednesdays gatherings to resume in the spring. Our all-ages Homeschool Together and Forest School programs will merge into a weekly Saturday gathering, which will include new homeschooling topics like herbalism for kids alongside old favorites like tool safety and woodworking. In the spirit of inclusivity, we’re moving these to weekends to ensure that members who attend school can still join in. With this schedule, we’ll create a continuum of community - from the first year to the preschool years and beyond.

This year, I also want to explore ways to ease the challenges of motherhood by moving away from isolation and embracing the natural human way of mothering together (cooking together, cleaning together, exercising together, etc.). I’m excited to co-create around this idea with you all when I return! In the meantime, I’d love to hear your thoughts. You can reach me at fullcirclesmtx@gmail.com, and you can stay connected with our community by joining our Facebook group: Full Circle Community: San Marcos Chapter and instagram @full.circle.sanmarcos

Full Circle Community Northeast San Antonio

Full Circle at Reconciliation opens its doors this week with Wednesday Playtime. Every Wednesday parents are invited to bring their preschoolers for fun together, discussion, and a supplemental supply of fresh diapers. This chapter will primarily function as part of a wider ecosystem of outreach and ministry, partnering with food insecurity ministry and supporting families that benefit from Barrington Neighbors After School Program and those in our wider community. Reconciliation lay leaders are moving forward together to organize and plan “Community Days” where clothing, food, diapers, and access to resources will be available to members of the surrounding community.
