LHS 4.22.25

Dear Lincoln High School Families,
We are thrilled to share that our students have successfully completed spring state testing! This is a significant milestone, and we couldn’t be prouder of their hard work, focus, and determination throughout the process.
We understand that testing can be a stressful time for students and families alike, and we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for your support. Your encouragement at home plays a crucial role in helping your student feel confident and prepared.
As we move forward, we’ll continue to focus on engaging lessons, end-of-year activities, and fostering a positive learning environment. We encourage you to celebrate your student's efforts and achievements, whether through a family outing, a favorite meal, or simply a kind word to acknowledge their dedication.
Thank you for being our partners in your student’s educational journey. Together, we can make the remainder of the school year both productive and enjoyable.
Kindly,
Ms. Wendy Bridges
Principal, Lincoln High School

Student Engagement and Collaboration
This week in Ms. Malboeuf's Pre-Calculus class students increased their engagement and collaboration by utilizing vertical WhiteBoards in their learning. Ms. Malboeuf reported that students really enjoyed using these and that she was extremely impressed at the way that students stepped up to teach and learn from one another.
Collaboration Across Content Areas
Our LHS Sophomore ELA and Spanish III classes recently attended an insightful presentation featuring guest speakers Mr. and Mrs. Bunton, Karen Roe, and Scott Brodie. They discussed the history of urban planning in Ypsilanti City and Township, focusing on the significant impact of the Willow Run Plant's opening and eventual closure. This presentation provided students with a local perspective on U.S. contributions to World War II, coinciding with the conclusion of our Holocaust Literature Unit and the start of our unit on The House on Mango Street. Through these texts, along with their Chemistry studies, students are exploring how major world events shape their local communities, social dynamics, and environmental health.
