The first half of our first quarter went by before our eyes! Students spent time learning our procedures and how to truly be a Mustang that will RIDE together to success. As we finish this quarter it is very important to remind our students why they come to school each day. Being at school is important but it is so important to be an active part of your classroom and learning. Raising hands to answer questions even when you may be wrong, allows our students to make mistakes and truly learn what they need. We appreciate all of our Miller Mustang parents, family and community support and look forward to meeting with you in parent teacher conferences, seeing the mustang pRIDE in spirit week, and all of the adventures to come throughout the year!

Please fill out the survey in the link below so that we can determine the need for an after-school program here at Miller Elementary. This after school program would be held in a classroom or portable room for the students until 5pm! Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays. The program would consist of Arts and crafts, Character strong activities, homework help, Scholastics for all grade levels and relaxing fun! This program would be a Fee based program which is eligible for tax credits. Thank you!

TUSD Family Resource Centers help TUSD families with obtaining needed items such as clothing, food, community resource information and provide a variety of classes for parents each month. The closest Center to Miller Elementary is the TUSD Southwest Family Resource Center, located at:

TUSD Emergency Housing Program
Tucson Unified is rolling out a new program to help any of our district families who may be dealing with housing insecurity. If any TUSD family finds themselves in a position where their house is unavailable, they can now apply for Emergency Housing Support (EHS).
The EHS program can be used by TUSD families once per school year and it will provide a four-day/three-night stay at one of the five EHS hotel partners. Families may also receive gas cards and internet connection. Incidentals and/or additional stay will be the responsibility of the TUSD family.
