Please note that families that return devices with damages beyond normal wear and tear may incur replacement fees.
- Book Collection: All RVA Scholars are asked to return their books no later than May 30, 2025. Books were distributed to scholars in Grades K-8 in plastic bags and should be returned to the RVA Office during Office Hours from Monday-Friday 10am to 2pm. Books can also be returned during our RVA End of Year Student & Family Party on May 29th.
- Upcoming Assessments: Please click here to check our school calendar for upcoming mandatory standardized assessments (and other school events). For more information about mandatory standardized assessments, check in directly with your child's teachers:)
- One Day Testing Opt In: For 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade Owl Families, please note the following: Per the VDOE, the grades 3-5 Reading and Math Virginia Standards of Learning (SOL) Tests may be administered over either one or two days. Richmond Public Schools selected two day testing for both the reading test and the math test for a total of four days of testing; however, in special situations, some students may take the reading and math test in one day for each for a total of two days of testing, but only with permission from their parent or guardian. The attached form will serve as parental permission to utilize the one day testing option. Families, please click on the link below to provide permission if you would like to have your child complete the SOL reading and math tests in two days rather than four days. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our site testing coordinator, Mrs. Melinda Brooks (mbrooks4@rvaschools.net).
- Culture & Climate Survey: The 2025 Student and Family Engagement Surveys are now live, and we need your support to help ensure high participation across our school community. These surveys are essential tools in understanding our school climate, strengthening student and family voice, and guiding division-wide improvement efforts. Surveys are open until the last day of school, May 30! Families and caregivers are encouraged to participate and may be eligible for a $25 gift card! Caregivers and parents, you may complete your survey today by clicking on this link-https://survey.k12insight.com/r/rps-24-25.
