High School Weekly Update

As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, it’s a wonderful time to reflect on the values that guide our school community: Integrity, Responsibility, and Service. Integrity reminds us to be genuine in our gratitude, expressing appreciation for the people and opportunities that enrich our lives. Responsibility encourages us to acknowledge the ways we can give back to others and contribute positively to our families, school, and community. Finally, Service calls us to think beyond ourselves, finding ways to help those in need and make a meaningful difference. This season, let’s embrace thankfulness not just in words but in actions, demonstrating the values that make our school a special place to learn and grow.

As part of that spirit of sharing, we encourage our families to spread the word about our school! The enrollment lottery is now open, and we’re excited to welcome prospective families to learn more about us. We’ll be hosting an Open House soon for our middle school, and tours are available for those interested in the high school. If you know families who share our commitment to academic excellence and character development, please invite them to visit and explore what makes our community unique. Thank you for your continued support, and we wish you a safe, joyful, and gratitude-filled holiday!

The application window for 2025-2026 is now open! Please let anyone you know who is interested in a rigorous college preparatory education for their children.

Gray Stone Day School is hosting an Open House on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. for all prospective middle school students. Guests will be given tours of the school and learn more about curriculum offerings, clubs, and extra-curricular activities.

We will also offer school tours and information sessions to prospective high school families. Click here to schedule a visit with one of our counselors.

School will be closed next Wednesday - Friday for Thanksgiving Break.

This week's Knight of the Week is Lucas Starnes. One of Lucas' teachers wrote, "Lucas has shown tremendous growth in my course with his hard work and dedication. I am so proud of him!"

The FAFSA Connects Students to Resources to Pay For College.

You read that right – the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is open and ready for your students to apply. Colleges and universities use the FAFSA to determine how much financial aid students are eligible to receive, including grants, scholarships, work-study funds, and loans. Encourage your students to take time during their holiday break to get started!
