CEF Grants Awarded: Deer Hill is excited to announce that the CEF approved multiple grant submissions as part of their Fall grant cycle totaling $14517.70. Here are the exciting things coming to Deer Hill as a result of teacher innovation and the CEF's generosity:

• Grade 3 Author Visit: David Ezra Stein (submitted by Jenn Clark and Michele Fetky)
• Playground Buddy Bench (submitted by Jenn Clark and her grade 3 class)
• Responsive Classroom Professional Books & Tools: Submitted by Kara Moser, Jenn Clark, and Michele Fetky
• Accessible Playground Swing (submitted by Emily LaFleur and student, Taylor Dodge)
• Occupational Therapy Sensory Space (submitted by Marina LeBreux and Emily LaFleur)

PSO Grants Awarded: Deer Hill is also so appreciative of the PSO grant process which just awarded the following grants totaling $1255. Thank you, PSO!

• Geared Mini Clocks (Alison Varney and Chrissy Thonet)
• Playground Equipment (Collette McElhinney)
• Rolling Dry Erase Board (Kara Moser)
• Reading Specialist Room Books & Organizational Materials (Jenna Ellis)

Festive Sweater Day:

Winter Concert: The all school chorus and 5th grade band put the audience in a festive mood at Thursday's Winter Concert. Many thanks to our talented chorus director, Kristen Lewis, and skilled band leader, John DeWaal for their efforts to make music a joyful part of the Deer Hill community!
