Holly Ridge Middle School Family Update for 8.18.24
Holly Ridge Middle School Families,
Welcome to the 2024 – 2025 school year!
As we start a new academic year, I’m thrilled to warmly welcome all our students, both returning and new, along with their families to Holly Ridge Middle School. We look forward to embarking on this journey together, with a shared dedication to both educational excellence and personal development and growth.
This year, we will continue to foster a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and respect within our school community. We believe in the power of teamwork and the significance of a strong partnership between home and school. We encourage you to actively engage in your child’s education, maintain open lines of communication, and participate in school activities and events whenever possible. Together, we can provide the support and guidance our students need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
We encourage you to stay connected with our school through the Powerschool/Homebase Parent Portal, becoming a Parent Observer in Canvas, district and school website (Holly Ridge Middle School ), social media channels, and regular communication updates. These platforms will provide you with important announcements, academic resources, and information about upcoming events. Additionally, please do not hesitate to reach out to our dedicated staff members should you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions. We value your feedback and are committed to continuous improvement.
Thank you for your unwavering support and we look forward to a rewarding and successful year ahead!
Please be sure to review all information below as it contains many important dates, documents and back to school guidance.
We will kick off our new school year with our Open House on Thursday, August 22nd from 4 PM-6 PM. Followed by our 6th Grade Hornet Camp on Friday, August 23rd from 8 AM-10:45 AM. We cannot wait to see you all!
New Information:
Bus Transportation Information
On Friday, August 16th, WCPSS Transportation emailed parents updated Bus Route information for the 2024-2025 school year. This information contains student route number, bus stop, and estimated times of arrival for both the morning and afternoon. Please be sure to review this information prior to the first day of school. As a reminder, students should be at the bus stop at least 10 minutes before the bus is expected to arrive at the stop. For additional information, you may visit Home Base at www.wcpss.net/student-information.
Carpool Information
As we prepare for the upcoming school year, please be advised that we will continue to have two carpool lanes due to the continued construction on Holly Springs Road. We will use both our campus and Holly Ridge Elementary School campus. Therefore, we are asking our parents/guardians not to line up for afternoon (PM) carpool until 2:45 PM. This will limit the amount of traffic sitting and waiting on both campuses.
In order to expedite the carpool process, please be sure your student is informed of the correct carpool lane for drop off and pick up. Please refer to the Holly Ridge Middle School Carpool document for more details.
