MORNING DEVOTION SCRIPTURES
Mr. Yearwood welcomes students each day by going over a thought and scripture for the day. Last week's scriptures were:
- Acts 5:29-32
- Colossians 3:23-24
- Mark 3:23
- Romans 14:13-17
Highlights from the Week
IOWA and CogAT Testing
Students in grades 1-6 worked really hard this week to show what they have learned and how they are growing academically. Testing is tough!
Student assessment allows us to evaluate our progress and instructional effectiveness as a school AND gives us some insight into individual student progress.
Packed Week for PreK Classes
The PreK classes had a packed week this week as they took their classes on the road and to different areas during testing. Each day they spent the morning at Crosshaven Church so they could play as normal without having to be quiet for testing. They also enjoyed playing with glow sticks to make different shapes, playing in outdoor centers, and even a little baseball with Mr. Yearwood.
Agriplex
Worms which are decomposers and nature’s recyclers were a hit. We are thankful for the volunteers who came out to share this valuable lesson with our students.
Archery Exhibition for St. Jude's
Our Archery Team took some time on Wednesday afternoon to show off their skills. Proceeds from this event are being donated to St. Jude's.
The team has done an amazing job this season! Thank you Mrs. Nikki and our parent volunteers who made this season possible!
Dissection Time in Biology
Biology students in Mrs. Adams class always enjoy the opportunity for hands-on learning labs, especially when it comes to dissecting!
And, of course, they love how they look in safety goggles! 🥽
God Always Has a Plan
On Friday morning during lower school morning devotion we had a technical issue with our morning song. It would have been easy to just stop singing and move on with the day, but God had something different in mind. When the music wouldn't work, Etta stepped up and led everyone in the song "I Am Who You Say I Am." For everyone there, it was clear that this timing was all God and it was a precious and holy moment!
God Squad: No Ordinary Heroes
The God Squad did not disappoint on Friday night!
This amazing, talented group of students sang, danced, and acted their hearts out as they helped us all learn about the meaning and profound truth of Ephesians 6:10-17.
The God Squad jumped into action on a mission to help rescue students who had been swayed by the alluring powers of the deceitful ME Dominion, a dreadful and un-Christ-like group espousing a lifestyle that focuses on SELF - self-help, self-satisfaction, and self-fulfillment. The God Squad knew that it will take the full Armor of God to deliver the school from the ME Dominion.
GREAT JOB to all of the students who participated and THANK YOU, Mrs. Candase for all of your hard work getting them prepared!
