Congratulations to the high school junior varsity baseball team on their victory over Rapid City Central on Saturday. Unfortunately, the varsity team came up short.
Tuesday, March 24th is a "GIRLS night" for our Junior High and High School rodeo team athletes. We will be practicing barrels, poles and goat tying.

A spaceship speeds to Earth to confront astronomers about demoted planet Pluto. Queen Charon, monarch of Pluto; scholarly Dr. Maven, librarian Miss Ammonia, reporter Tyson Kuiper and spaceship crew members discuss the issues. Can they change astronomers’ minds? And what was learned during a 2015 flyby of Pluto?

Tuesdays, April 1st & 15th 3:30 pm - Wonder Math - Join Richard Moeller at the Sturgis Public Library for science based discoveries, activities, and more. All ages are welcome
Thurs., April 3 4 - 6 pm - Level UPI Gaming Club - Ages 8+ are welcome to hang out play Nintendo, board games, snap circuits, and more with friends. Held the first Thursday each month
Mon., April 7 3 - 5 pm - LEGO Club - All ages are welcome to come together to build and explore with bricks
Tues., April 8 - 6 pm- History Talks - History Talks, a Zoom watch party, sponsored by the South Dakota Historical Society Foundation. Award - winning illustrator SD Nelson will share insights into his latest work, "Wings of an Eagle. The gold Medal Dreams of Billy Mills," written by Donna Janell Bowman and published by Little, Brown Books for Young Readers. He will discuss his artistic process and reflect on his childhood connections to the Dakotas and the Standing Rock Reservation.

Thurs. April 10 5:30 pm - Music Speaks - This month we discuss Wozzeck: Alban Berg's Expressionist opera. In the shadow of WWI, Berg develops a new musical language to ell a story about a soldier driven to madness by the "hopelessness, absurdity, and cruelty" of society. Premiering in 1925, the piece was a huge success until 1933, when the Nazi classified Wozzeck as subversive and "degenerate" art.
Mon., April 14 4 pm - Movie Night - Join us for a family-friendly showing of Mufasa: The Lion King (Rated PG), an unforgettable adventure for all ages. Drinks and popcorn will be served.

Safety
Absolutely no medication on your person, over the counter or otherwise. All medication must be given through the nurse's office.
Backpacks are to be left in your lockers. Our classrooms are very small and backpacks clutter the aisle. It is a safety thing. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
