Growing in Faith Together

Trinitas Young Adult Ministry, founded at St. Leo in Hilton, is an opportunity for young adults, especially those on the west side of Rochester, to find a community of faith. The ministry's mission is to foster healthy, Christ-centered friendships through service to our neighbor and fun social gatherings. Trinitas welcomes anyone 18 and just out of high school, those figuring out life during and/or after college, and married young adults (with or without children). Wherever young adults are in their journey of faith, Trinitas welcomes them!

The St. Pius Young Adult Ministry in Chili invites young adults in the Diocese of Rochester to their gatherings over the next couple of months. Young adults will find community and fellowship in faith at these gatherings. Join Luz y Sal Pastoral de Jóvenes Adultos | Light & Salt Young Adult Ministry, a ministry for Spanish-speaking young adults (ages 20-45) that is rooted in the realities of balancing faith and culture, for their Day of the Dead celebration. The celebration will include music, food, and more. It promises to be a great way to learn more about this rich Mexican tradition. An Angelic Warfare Confraternity Enrollment gathering is being held! We live in a culture that puts less and less value on the virtues of chastity and purity, and being a young adult in a world bombarding us with temptations is so difficult. The confraternity, under the patronage of St. Thomas Aquinas, allows young adults to support each other in living a life of chastity and purity in their given state in life. Young adults with children in the Auburn area are invited to this monthly family rosary. The family rosary will take place in the home of young adults Laura and Kieran McManus. For more information, please email Kieran at kmcmanus41092@gmail.com.

The Little Sisters of the Poor invite post college-age Catholic young adult women who are feeling pressured by society’s expectations of them and uncertain of their direction in life to a retreat weekend. More information can be found below. The Little Sisters of the Poor also want to share a newly published episode of their podcast “God Calling: Vocation Vibes.” It is specifically for young adult men and women and those who serve and support them. At the end is a short message of encouragement for the young adults from our elderly resident priest, along with his blessing for them. This podcast episode can also be found here.

Young adult married couples are invited to the next Worldwide Marriage Encounter weekend. The WWME weekend teaches communication techniques such as active listening, listening with the heart and empathy towards your spouse's feelings. It is based on the sacrament of Holy Matrimony and expresses the importance of love in the union and encourages this love be taken out into the world in various ministries to serve God by strengthening the couples and families in the church.

The Marriage Encounter gives busy couples much needed time together to focus on each other and deepen their communication. After the Experience, couples often return to their life and families refreshed with renewed commitment to each other. More information can be found below.

Try to promote a welcoming environment by encouraging the practice of bringing in friends of those involved in young adult ministry. Branches Christian Rest and Renewal Centers, Inc. is a Roman Catholic retreat center located on the shores of beautiful Seneca Lake, in the heart of the Finger Lakes Region. The young adult ministry from St. Benedict Parish in Bloomfield/Canandaigua has a monthly Young Adult Coffee After Mass! Coffee After Mass happens every third Sunday of the month following the 9:00 a.m. Mass at St. Mary's Church in Canandaigua.
