PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Important Updates for the 2nd Semester
Dear Trojan Families,
Happy New Year! We hope everyone had a rejuvenating winter break and I am excited to welcome everyone back to campus Monday, January 6 to prepare for an exciting and productive semester. Students should reflect on what went well first semester as well as opportunities for growth.
I'd like to highlight a couple of important updates for the new year that will require home and school collaboration.
STUDENT IDs:
Please remind your child to wear their student ID around their neck at all times as IDs help us maintain a safe campus environment. If a student loses their ID, they can visit the A Office to speak with Ms. Caldwell. Lost IDs may incur a replacement fee.
WIN TIME:
Students will no longer sign up for WIN time as they will follow the schedule below:
*ATC students will report to the auditorium on the day that corresponds with their ATC block.*
Monday-Advisory/Leader in Me
Tuesday-1st Block
Wednesday-2nd Block
Thursday-3rd Block
Friday-4th Block
ELECTRONIC DEVICES:
To reduce distractions, students must keep their personal electronic devices out of sight after 8:35 AM. Our district is ahead of the curve on this, and the South Carolina Department of Education’s "Free to Focus" initiative has formally rolled out, promoting a phone-free learning environment. For more information, click here.
STUDENT HANDBOOK
Parents, please take the time to review our Student Handbook. The handbook contacts policies and procedures that will help guide you during the high school journey.
Thank you for your support in helping us create a focused and safe learning environment. We wish you a wonderful start to the new year and we look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow.
In partnership,
Michael Abraham
Principal
MAKE UP EXAMS
If your student missed any of their final exams, they should have received a Canvas message on Friday, January 3. Make-up exams will take place after school, Tuesday-Thursday, January 7-9, beginning promptly at 3:50PM in the media center.
MONDAY, JANUARY 6TH
Students should follow the schedule below for the first day of the semester.
Students should report directly to their ADVISOR when the 8:35am bell rings.
Students should check their Canvas Announcements to sign up for Make Up School and review expectations.
