πMessage From Principal Haugens
Dear Parents,
There will be no school tomorrow. Teachers will be engaged in professional development. Students will also be off school on Monday, March 4, 2024, in honor of Casimir Pulaski. Enjoy the FOUR DAY weekend!
The second trimester ends tomorrow. The most Up-To-Date grades will be posted in OTUS on Friday, March 15, 2024. Parents are able to check student grades at any time through the OTUS platform. Besides grades, parents are also able to access MAP & IAR results (past & present). Need help accessing the OTUS platform? Click here
5Essentials Parent Survey: One of the ways we get feedback is through the Illinois 5Essentials Survey. Every year, parents are able to take the survey to let us know how we are doing as a school. Your feedback is important. The survey should only take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Our goal is to get 40% of our parents/guardians to take the survey.
Link to survey: http://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/survey/parent/
After completing the survey, please have your child return the 5Essentials Parent Survey slip to their classroom teacher for a chance to earn a small incentive. Deadline: March 15th
Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Caring

A message from the Bloomingdale School District Office:
As we move into the next phase of our community engagement program, we are hosting several public meetings to gather opinions from the community as we collaborate on a plan for the future of our schools.
We hope you will attend the following session:
7 pm Thursday, Feb. 29 β virtual Zoom meeting. Please click HERE to register.
During the meetings, we will share information about our school district, the many successes our students have achieved, and the challenges we face complying with the stateβs mandate for full-day kindergarten and giving our students the 21st century learning environments they deserve.
Based on the communityβs responses during our first phase of community engagement, we have compiled a βmenuβ of potential individual projects, potential funding mechanisms, and potential funding levels, and we want to get your opinions on each of them. Your responses to the feedback forms at the end of these meetings will help determine our path forward.
We hope to see you at our upcoming community engagement sessions!
Sincerely,
Dr. Jon Bartelt
Superintendent, Bloomingdale School District 13
