Congrats to our @CollegeBoard National Recognition Program awardees! Our students are being recognized for their academic excellence and hard work in high school, and that’s a cause to celebrate.

THREE students at Rogers High School earned academic honors from @CollegeBoard National Recognition Program — confirmation of their hard work that they can showcase to colleges.

Every year, students like Victoria Ramos, Kamilya Thaxter and Similaki Vanderveer Lui from Rogers High School, Newport R.I., can earn academic recognition for their work in class and on @CollegeBoard assessments. Congratulations to our three amazing students.

Dear RHS Families,

Carter Photography is so excited to be taking your students' pictures again this year. Picture day for Rogers is this Monday, September 23.

If you are interested in ordering pictures all orders must be placed before picture day. The studio is unable to offer late ordering this year. A retake/makeup picture day will be available by sign up only, to students who purchased pictures or who missed picture day.

All orders will be sent to school and will go home with your student. The studio will email you to let you know when the pictures have been delivered to school. Please add j.carter.hr@gmail.com to your contact list so you do not miss emails. Please text 401-837-0554 with any questions.

If you are having difficulty finding your student? Try typing just the first name or just the last name when you are searching within the ordering system.

Carter Photography está muy emocionada de volver a tomar fotografías de sus estudiantes este año. El día de las fotografías es el lunes 23 de septiembre en Rogers.

Si está interesado en solicitar fotografías, todos los pedidos deben realizarse antes del día de las fotografías. El estudio no puede ofrecer pedidos tardíos este año. Habrá un día de fotografías de recuperación/recuperación disponible solo con registrarse, para los estudiantes que compraron fotografías o que no pudieron asistir al día de las fotografías.

This is the second year we have partnered with Lifespan (Newport + RI Hospital) to offer a 2-year mentoring program that matches a Lifespan employee with a junior in high school who has an interest in health careers. To learn more, please attend the Info Session on Thursday, October 3 during CREW in room 307.

Attention Juniors, Seniors, and Families!

There will be a virtual College Week series sponsored by RIDE and College Planning Center. These informative workshops will share information on the college application process, common application tips, and Financial Aid! Don't miss out. All sessions begin at 4 PM. Students will be given a packet the first day of school which included required forms to be filled out and returned. Students may return the completed forms to their teacher in crew class or drop them off in the main office.

● Free & Reduced Lunch Form – This form MUST be returned whether your family may or may not qualify for free or reduced lunch. Lunch Forms - English & Spanish

⮚ Should you feel your family will or may qualify free or reduced meals, please complete the entire attached application, sign/date and return to the main office or crew teacher.

⮚ Should you feel your family does not qualify for free or reduced meals, please list child’s name on step 1, write “waive process” on Step 3, and sign/date Step 4 of application and return to the main office or crew teacher.

Link to Scholarship List Yes it is scholarship season!

Many of the scholarships listed are online scholarships. The general rule is if the scholarship listed has a link that means the application is online. If the scholarship on the list does not have an online link then the paper application is in Guidance in the filing cabinet under the "Scholarship" sign! (To the right of Ms. Gorman's desk)

For every scholarship you apply for you will need to fill out a Blue Transcript Request form. Those forms are available in Guidance on the table in front of Ms. Gorman's desk. If you are not able to come to Guidance you can email me and I can forward you an electronic fillable form.

Scholarship lists are also posted on Rogers High School website.
