Titan Times
November 5, 2024
Greetings, Titan Family!
As we welcome November, we celebrate the hard work and progress our students have made so far this school year. This month is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on gratitude and the importance of community. We encourage you to engage with your child about their experiences and accomplishments. Together, let’s foster a supportive environment where our students can thrive academically and personally. Thank you for your continued partnership in making this a great year!
We encourage you to reach out to our school office with any questions, as open communication is vital for our success. Thank you for trusting us with your child's education. I look forward to a memorable and enriching year for our students and learning community as we work together.
Go Titans!

Congrats to our Electric & Mighty Titans of the Month! 🎉💫
The BMMS Electric and Mighty Titans of the Month are recognized for their outstanding character, leadership, and citizenship, as selected by the grade level teachers and staff at Myers MS. These students exemplify diligence by consistently completing assignments on time and demonstrating a strong effort to learn. They exhibit excellent behavior both inside and outside the classroom, showing respect and good manners towards peers and teachers alike.
The Titans of the Month embody the values of BMMS by aligning with its affirmations and demonstrating exemplary character traits such as compassion, honesty, trustworthiness, responsibility, optimism, and loyalty. Their contributions help foster a positive school environment, making them role models for their peers.
Our ELECTRIC Titans are students that are “lighting up” on their path. This would include students who have exhibited growth, mastered a new skill, and/or made great strides towards a goal.

Nineteen Denton ISD students from seven campuses earned top-five finishes at the Educators Rising National Conference & Competition, a nationwide event for middle and high school students interested in the education profession.
The students qualified for the national competition after placing at the Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE) state contests, where the top 10 in each category advance to nationals. Denton ISD had 33 students place in the top 10 at the state level, with 23 qualifying for nationals — the most of any district in Texas.
At the state level, students participated in competitions (judged against their peers) and contests (where students present projects to a panel of judges). Categories ranged from goal setting and professional development to job interviews.
TAFE, a non-profit student organization founded in 1984, offers middle and high school students the opportunity to explore the teaching profession. The organization is sponsored by the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals and governed by a board of teachers, students, and principals.
We are especially proud to highlight the outstanding accomplishments of our Myers Middle School students, who each placed in the top five nationally:
- Aubrey Stevens – 3rd place, Teach Created Materials
- Addie Trammel & Isabella Snyder – 2nd place, Children’s Literature (K-3rd grade)
- Brooklyn Causey – 3rd place, Children’s Literature (Pre-K)
Congratulations to all our students on this incredible achievement! Your hard work and dedication to the future of education are truly inspiring.
Big shoutout to our Lady Titans Volleyball teams and Titans Football teams for their fantastic seasons! These dedicated student-athletes gave their all this year and truly represented BMMS with pride.
We are all incredibly proud of our Titan athletes and their hard work!
