Monday, April 1, 2024
Dear Parents/Guardians,
I hope that everyone enjoyed Spring Break with family and friends! It is great to be all together again at North as we celebrate Senior Week April 1 - 5. The week is full of activities for our Class of 2024, including Senior Celebration, hosted by NNHS Parents, and Powder Puff football. Enjoy these memories as we close in on the end of your Senior year!
This is also a reminder to pay careful attention to the information contained in the Howler on April 10th and 11th testing information. Wednesday the 10th will NOT be a late start day for students who are testing.
Thank you for entrusting your students to our care.
Stephanie Posey
Principal
Upcoming Testing: April 10th and 11th are important days for our freshmen, sophomores and juniors students who will be engaging in state testing. These required tests not only measure students’ current academic development and assess readiness for college and career options, but also serve as an accountability measure for NNHS as a factor on the Illinois School Report Card rating and are a public reflection of the school and our student body.
Wednesday, April 10 is NOT a normal late arrival date. Students should report for a normal day start time of 7:45 a.m. Please refer to this linked chart for specific details for each grade level.
Prom: Mark your calendars because Prom is just around the corner. This year's theme is Masquerade! Sponsored by the Junior Board, Prom will take place on Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 5 to 9 pm at Abbington Distinctive Banquets. Tickets will be on sale starting April 15th through April 28th. Each ticket will cost $90.00. If you need assistance purchasing tickets, swing by Student Activities on Thursday, April 25th during all lunch periods.
NEW - RESERVED SEATING: On April 29th, a follow-up email will be sent to the email address provided when purchasing tickets. In this email, there will be a link to a Google Form to reserve seats at a table. This form will be accessible only by your school email address (@stu.naperville203.org). There are 10 seats per table. If you have a group of friends, one person may reserve a table for the entire group as long as each person’s name is provided AND they already purchased a ticket. If you do not complete this form by May 1st, you will be randomly assigned to a table.
Have questions? Contact Ms. Kraftson and Ms. Golz. Take advantage of this incredible event! Grab your tickets online at Go Fans Naperville North Activities and prepare for a magical evening!

Girls State 2024: This American Legion Auxiliary Program provides citizenship training for approximately 500 High School Junior-Senior girls. Attendees become citizens of cities within counties. Two political parties campaign for offices; elected officials then assume duties as Illini Girls State officials. Residency will be within campus dorms. The goal is to provide awareness of the responsibilities, rights and privileges of being American citizens while participating in the functioning of government. The program draws together the best and brightest high school students from Illinois, during the summer before their senior year, to help lead them down the path of individual success and leadership.
Applications can be found at alaigs.org. Naperville Post #43 will cover enrollment costs. Transportation is NOT provided. Girls are not allowed cars on campus. Please have girls send completed applications to my address listed below. We are again committed to sponsoring at least two+ girls from each High School. If you have others interested in attending please do not hesitate to contact me. We have sent more from individual schools in the past and will do so again if you have motivated students. You can find out more about Girls State by visiting the website.
Please inform those interested in attending that we pay for this up front. When someone cancels, we get no refund and depending on the notice a substitution may be difficult to find. Therefore, we are only seeking individuals who are committed to attend. Please feel free to contact me for any other information you may need and I will make every effort to facilitate the enrollment process. Thank you for your assistance and dedication.
