Davis County Family,


We have had a much more typical start to this school year and it feels really good to keep more of the focus on learning and less on the uncertainties that last school year delivered.


As I've stated in my previous fall newsletters, this is my favorite time of year. The start of football and other fall sports, hunting seasons, harvest season and fall in general personally provides me with a sense of rejuvination and renewal as we kick off another school year.


The end of the first quarter is October 26 and that will be here before we know it. Below I have provided a link with reminders regarding our grading and assessment practices as well as how Citizenship Honor Roll is now factored in our Standards Based Grading system.

DCMS Mustang Citizenship Award - New "Honor Roll"

  1. Students will be recognized at the end Semester 1 and Semester 2

  2. Students must have ALL “M” in Respectful & Responsible and No “R” in Learner = Our Citizenship Standards

  3. No unexcused absence concerns

  4. No Office Discipline Referrals

  5. Must be in person learners to qualify

Parents,


If your child is being picked up by anyone other than you, from an after school sporting event that is out of town, they need to bring me a note signed by a notary. All of the building secretaries are notaries and would be happy to do that for you.
