STAAR Testing at Pink
We are approaching the time of year when students will be participating in the Texas Student Assessment Program. Please remember the following dates. Visitors will not be allowed in the school building on testing days. Maintaining the security and integrity of the testing of our state assessment program is important to us, and we want to have an optimum testing opportunity for our students! Don’t forget, for those testing, a good night’s sleep and breakfast will help set the stage for a successful testing day. Please send a healthy snack and water as well.

Shark Tank & City Proposals at Pink
4th grade students had the opportunity to present their one of a kind inventions to 5 tough Sharks (business owners and developers) who challenged the students and asked excellent questions in a simulation much like the TV show Shark Tank. The students ultimately had to choose which Shark to invest with. So much fun!
5th grade students had the opportunity to recite their Change essays written about something they would like to see improved in their community or school to two local city councilman. Topics ranged from the use of Rubix cubes in the classroom to careful planning when developing or building in Frisco. The students were very thoughtful in their writing and expressed great passion for their topic.
We are so very proud of our students and the work they are doing in Quest! Special thanks to their very amazing teacher, Mrs. Misty Lewin! Also, thanks to our special guests for making this an experience of a lifetime for our students. Check the pictures above.
Telling is Not Tattling: Reporting Bullying
Part of being a safe school at Pink Elementary involves providing a way for students and parents to report when someone has witnessed bullying. There are a few ways to report bullying. Each classroom has yellow forms students can fill out and give to their teacher or turn in to the office. There is also a link on Mrs. Andrew’s website that goes to a confidential form that will be monitored and investigated. You can always email your child’s teacher if you know of a problem happening at school. Thank you for working with our staff to make Pink a safe place to be!
