Mrs. Brown's Counseling Corner
Congratulations to our 1st Nine Weeks, Leaders of the Quarter!
At the end of each nine weeks, we ask our students to nominate one peer from their class that they feel is an exemplary leader in exhibiting characteristics of Pick Leadership and Pride! Specifically, they are looking for someone to demonstrate the 8th Habit: Find your voice, and inspire others to find theirs. This focuses on finding meaningful ways to contribute and to use one’s talents, gifts, and passions while encouraging others to use theirs as an extra layer of greatness to all 7 Habits. When students nominate a peer, they share specific examples they have observed during the nine weeks in the 8 Habits and Pick Pride traits. We are very proud of each of these Leaders of the Quarter!

Beginning October 15 – November 15 students that read THREE books will receive a FREE KIDS MEAL from TEXAS ROADHOUSE. What a better incentive!!!! Simply encourage your student to keep reading, record the title of the book on the bookmark form that was sent home, sign your name verifying they’ve read their book, and that’s it!!! Take your favorite reader into Texas Roadhouse for a free kids meal.
