Q&A and Comments Section
Questions
- How is bullying being monitored on buses?
Now the buses have monitors, but the district's goal is for buses that transport students from Pre K-3 to second grade to have monitors on each bus. - How do we report an incident of bullying on buses?
The first thing you need to do is communicate it to the driver, and the driver documents the information and follows the protocol for reporting the incident. - How long do I have to wait to talk to a counselor about a case with my daughter?
No more than 48 hours, between Tuesday and Friday. At that time, the counselor must communicate with the parent.
Comments
- It is very important as parents to have communication with our children and teach them the importance of having high self-esteem from a young age. Stress how important it is and know that our children are beautiful.
- It is important that as a parent you have a relationship with your children's teachers to be aware of what is happening with them. Be consistent as parents, remind our children that they are unique, and build confidence in themselves.
- As a suggestion and request, next year put the Thanksgiving meal on different days, since this year it will be in all schools, we have children in different schools, and it is very difficult for us to attend with everyone. Planning for next school year will be much better. It is just a matter of being patient and enjoying food with your children this school year.
- A parent thanked Mrs. Natividad for assisting her daughter in a bullying situation. The communication between the student and Mrs. Natividad helped solve the problem.
