HLS students in Grades 10 - 12 had the opportunity to participate in presentations about taxes, money advice, renting and buying a home, available social supports, applying for student loans, and much more last Friday. The event was organized by BRSD and the Mental Health Capacity Building Team.

Over the first two weeks of March, the school council and grade six class will be running a joint fundraiser selling Little Caesar's Pizza. The profits of the fundraiser will go towards school council, which provides all sorts of valuable resources for our school, or towards grade six students to help pay for their ranch camp experience at the end of the year. Sales will be exclusively online, and you will indicate where the profits from your sale should go by filling in the "seller name" field with either "school council", or the name of a specific grade six student.

Please follow the steps below to browse the products and make an order:

1. go to www.pizzakit.ca
2. under the Products tab, select "shop"
3. choose "purchase & support a local fundraiser, ship my products to the group".
4. enter the fundraiser ID 453296 and confirm Hay Lakes School
5. complete your shopping and check out, adding the desired seller name (either school council or a grade six student).
6. pay with a credit card.

The fundraiser will close on Friday, March 14th and the orders will be delivered here to the school on Monday, March 31st. This is a great product, and always a popular fundraiser! Thank you in advance for your support!
