🍂Thanksgiving Principal Message🦃
Dear Families,
We are thankful for you!
As we prepare to take time off from school (November 25-November 29) for the Thanksgiving break, we are grateful for everyone who has helped to restore a routine for showing up to school while supporting students and families.
Daily routines that include regular attendance and healthy behaviors are essential for a successful educational journey.
Please take steps to keep your child healthy and send them to school unless they are truly sick. Every day of school is an important opportunity for students to learn as well as connect to peers and their teachers.
We thank:
Our students and their families who do their best to show up to class every day even when it isn’t easy.
Our teachers who have gone above and beyond to help make school a welcoming learning environment where students can thrive.
Our administrators who help us work together to ensure we are healthy and safe, feel a sense of community and experience the excitement of an engaging learning environment.
Our support staff and community volunteers who provide the extra hands and attention our children need.
May these days off be restful and healing.
If your family or your child needs assistance, please visit harmonysaf.com for non-emergency support.
Our campus will close from {November 25- November 29}. We look forward to seeing you again when school resumes on December 2, 2024.
Thank you for partnering with us!

Thank you for helping us ensure everyone stays warm and follows school guidelines!
Cold Weather Attendance Reminder Letter
Dear HPS Parents and Guardians,
This letter is to remind you of our current procedures regarding absences due to medical reasons.
If your student is feeling sick while at school, it is mandatory for them to visit the Health Aide before they can be sent home to ensure that any necessary care is provided promptly. If it is necessary to send the student home due to illness, the health aide will notify the parent/guardian. Any attempts to sign-out due to illness without the attention of the health aide will result in an unexcused absence.
Absences exceeding three or more days due to illness, require a note from a healthcare provider in order for the absences to be excused.
As a reminder, students are expected to be present for a minimum of 90% of each class to receive credit and actively participate in their education.
Your cooperation and understanding in this matter are highly appreciated. These measures will contribute to a healthier and more productive learning environment for our students.
Sincerely,
Sabri Unal

Attendance Matters
Please remember that if your child is unable to attend school due to illness or other unavoidable
circumstances, it is required that you communicate with our school office by creating an absence request in Skyward or emailing Pmarez@harmonytx.org. For an absence to be considered excused, it must align with the criteria outlined in the HPS handbook regarding excusable reasons for absence. Your timely communication allows us to maintain accurate attendance records and ensure that your child receives any necessary support or accommodations.
Every day counts, and your support reinforcing this message is greatly appreciated. Thank you
for your continued partnership in your child’s education. Together, we can help ensure that your
a child reaches their full potential.
Safety Corner
To ensure the safety and well-being of our students and staff, we kindly ask that you avoid sending aerosol sprays—such as body sprays, perfumes, and similar products—to school. These sprays can trigger allergic reactions and asthma attacks, putting some of our school community members at risk.
Let’s work together to create a safe and comfortable environment for everyone. Thank you for your understanding and support!

We encourage you to talk to your children about the importance of these drills. By having open discussions at home, you can reinforce the message that these drills are a crucial part of staying safe, and help them feel more comfortable and confident during the exercises.
Thank you for your continued support in helping us keep our school community safe!
