Each week will focus on a unique theme, see details and sign up links below.
Need a quick reference for our last few days of school next week? Click below to see the sheet that came home detailing dress code, pick up times, etc. PLEASE NOTE: if your Grade 1-7 student(s) will be leaving with you or another adult following Mass & Awards on 6/18, please be sure to send back a signed note to school, linked on p.2 of the PDF below as well.
Summer Work Packets Coming Home Next Week
Students entering grades K-5 in the Fall will be coming home before the end of the school year with packets to be completed over Summer break. Please see the letter in each student’s packet from their teacher for the coming year with instructions for completing the packet. The summer work assigned is designed to reinforce skills and concepts learned during this school year, while helping your child become acclimated to work in their upcoming grade level. Some grade levels also have book lists included for Summer reading.
These packets are required and will be due at supply drop off in August before school starts. We have kept in mind that Summer should be a time to relax and spend time with family and friends enjoying the beautiful weather, and quality time together. Our intention is not to burden or overwhelm your family with more “to-do's” during the Summer months, however, students can lose academic skills and knowledge over break, and research has shown that they can lose up to two months of grade-level equivalency in math and reading skills! For this reason, we ask that you help your students get into a routine and complete a little of their packet each day. All grade levels have been assigned a relatively equal amount of work, and it is a manageable amount. Rising Middle School students will be assigned summer work as well via ixl.com, and instructions for completing this work will be forthcoming.
Thank you for our cooperation and understanding, we can’t wait to hear about all of your summer adventures come September, and hit the ground running educating your children!
Please Return Your Sports Uniforms!
If you haven’t already returned your student’s soccer (or other lingering) sports uniforms, PLEASE DO SO ASAP! Place the jersey in a clear ziplock bag labeled with your student’s name for Mr. Reeds. Thank you!
Sign Up for Fall Sports Now
It is important that you sign up for Fall sports now so that we can be sure we have coaches for our teams or are able to combine with other teams. You will not be charged until September.
