βοΈ Happening In Our Classrooms...
5th graders got a βtasteβ of middle school at a summer reading book tasting with Mrs. Flynn!
Ms. Krysti's Preschool class filled up their kindness jar. They voted on celebrating with chalk outside!
Mr. Butler's 7th graders learned about the importance (and strength) of angles and polygons in bridge engineering. Students were tasked with designing and creating their own popsicle stick bridge under certain parameters.
Points were given for using as few sticks (and glue) as possible, while also earning points for weight held and distance spanned.
The top span of 17.25 inches was earned by Alana, Alena, and Nora!
The most weight held was 34.875 pounds, earned by Finley, Dillon, and Chance.
The top overall design for strength, span, and efficiency of design was earned by Ella, Nellie, and Lily, who designed a bridge using the least amount of sticks and glue in the grade, while still holding 12.5 pounds and spanning 12 inches!
