End of School Year Medication Pick-Up Reminder
All prescription, non-prescription and emergency medications need to be picked up from the Wilmot health office by 11am on Friday 6/7/24. A parent must pick up medication/s. We cannot send medication home with students in their backpacks. Medications that are not picked up by this time will be discarded per District protocol. Please reach out with any questions.
The library needs your help! We still have many missing books!
There are still a substantial amount of books checked out. Overdue notices are being sent home today with an image of the books to help with locating them. Please help your child look for the books and ensure they make it into their backpacks to return on Monday. A fine will be assessed for remaining missing books at the end of the year. Thanks so much for your assistance! Ms. Schaper
What Do I Do if My Child is Not Returning to Wilmot Next Year?
If you have a current K-4th grade student who is not returning to Wilmot next year, please complete the form linked below as soon as possible. This information not only supports us with making class placements but knowing your child is moving allows us to prepare for your child's transition. Prior to your child's last day at Wilmot, we will prepare all records for transfer. As a reminder, our school office will not be open during the summer months. Please complete this form even if your child is transferring to another DPS109 school.
Field Day 2024 - Thursday, June 6
We will hold our annual Field Day on Thursday, June 6.
Students should dress appropriately for the warm weather and for athletic activities. Students should have:
- gym shoes
- a labeled water bottle
- sunscreen (applied at home)
- hats/sunglasses encouraged
- class t-shirt
- a change of clothes (there will be a few water activities)
We will monitor the weather and conditions of the field throughout the week (it looks like rain early in the week). We hope to move forward unless there is rain on Thursday. The field will likely be wet so please send students with extra shoes, socks and maybe shorts/pants (just in case).
We appreciate your support and can't wait to enjoy this special event!
Team Give Philanthropy Fair
Thank you to everyone who came out to support Team Give's Philanthropy Fair. These students ran this event and raised over $2,400 for Gratitude Generation. Way to go Team Give.
Bus Seatbelt Survey
As mentioned in 109 News yesterday, the DPS 109 administration is looking to survey students to see how often they are utilizing seat belts when riding school buses. This is an optional, anonymous survey that will be offered in paper form to grades K-2 and via a short Google Form for grades 3-7. Exiting 8th graders will not be asked to participate. No personal information will be collected about participants aside from what grade they are in. The results will be analyzed to help inform the administration in future decision-making about transportation. Students will be given the opportunity to fill out this short three-question survey over the final week of school. Per policy, if you do NOT want your child to participate, please contact your child’s homeroom teacher prior to Monday.
