Pine View Middle School welcomes Year 1 families to an overview of the opportunities available in our community to attend the first International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme World School (IB- MYP) in Pasco County!

The myStudent Parent Portal for Consents and Emergency Cards opens on July 31. You will have to complete these before you can view your child's schedule.

Free Breakfast and Lunch will be provided for all students.

Students who bring WCDs to school must ensure that they remain on silent mode and completely out of view for the entire school day except for when expressly authorized by the classroom teacher for a specific instructional activity. Classroom teachers may also provide, and students may utilize, a cell phone storage area in their classroom. These expectations also apply to extracurricular and co-curricular activities that occur before or after the school day.

T-shirts will be sold at the event and you can also choose to pay online a few days before All Paws In. Show your receipt at All Paws In for pick up.

Year level t-shirts are required for field trips and are encouraged to wear during pep rallies.

What is P.A.R.T.?

• A community engagement program designed to highlight parent/guardians who champion a safe and a positive environment through volunteering time at the school.
• Participants come to the school during school hours to assist with ensuring the school is safe by helping students get to class in a timely manner, using their best behavior, and pursing the best choices.

Note: Starting 8/1/24, all volunteers must complete a Level 2 background screening. Each volunteer will be responsible for the cost associated with the background screening. The cost is $41.25 and would only be required every 5 years. The District will pay a yearly maintenance fee for each approved volunteer. To keep their prints current, the volunteer must complete the Raptor application yearly. If the volunteer does not reapply by the deadline provided, they will be responsible for the cost associated with a new background screening.

We are very excited that our Year 1 Panthers will be eligible to try out for JV teams. All athletes must have the required paperwork AND a physical completed and submitted online before conditioning or trying out for a sport. All physicals are valid for one year. All middle schools and all high school will be collecting FHSAA/Pasco Athletic paperwork online.

Year 1 will also have the opportunity for boys/girls soccer, boys/girls basketball and track later in the school year.

All Year 1 students will take one semester of Health and Physical Education. Students are required to change their clothing for physical activities. Setting up a myStudent Parent Portal Account

1. Navigate to the Pasco County Schools Website

2. Selecting the Parents menu https://www.pasco.k12.fl.us/parents

3. Select Check Grades under the Parent Links menu

Area located on the right side of the screen.

4. Click the Link to register a new account or add another student to your account

5. Follow the appropriate prompts for Registering, Add a Child or Password help

6. You will be required to enter the Parent Pin# Student ID and Student’s Birthdate

7. Select Add Student

When you need to pick up your child before dismissal or drop them off after school has begun, please press the button in the Admin Office with your identification readily available. The staff will compare your identification with the information in our system. After verification, the student(s) will be called to the office or sent to class. Please check MyStudent to ensure your information is correct.

Morning Drop Off

Students may not be dropped off in the morning or unload from their vehicle prior to 7:50am. An adult will signal the top of the car loop for students to unload and at that point all students will unload along the front sidewalk of PVMS and move to their first period class. As cars come into the front loop of PVMS, it is asked that all vehicles move forward to the top of the loop before unloading so that cars can move off of Parkway Boulevard as quickly as possible.

Afternoon Pick Up

Pick up of car riders will be monitored by staff and all students will enter their vehicles from the top of the car rider area, which will be designated by numbered spaces. Cars will move forward as vehicles leave the car loop area into the numbered spaces so that more students can load and then vehicles may exit the car loop area when released by staff. Cars will exit via right turn only.

We recognize that the processes for drop off and pick up of students are regulated. The intention is to move traffic off of Parkway Boulevard as quickly as possible since this two lane road becomes very congested quickly. The procedures work very closely to that of a fast food drive thru in which you pull all the way up to pay and pick up your food and then immediately leave the drive thru area. The PVMS staff is grateful for patience and support of the process from our families since they are monitoring this process in some cases, up to 30 minutes AM and PM, in the cold, heat and rain. Ensuring that your student has their belongings ready to exit the vehicle in the morning and are watching for your arrival and listening for their last name to load in the loading area in the afternoon ensures an efficient and timely process.
