Central Elementary Bits and Bites

As we welcome our new music teacher, we have decided to cancel this year's Christmas program to give our new teacher time to transition into her new position. We are currently practicing our Christmas Carols that students will be singing when we travel across the school communities the last week of school. We thank you for your understanding, as this was not an easy decision to make, but we believe by cancelling this concert, we will be able to fully prepare for an amazing program in the spring!

This will be our second year to travel around our communities to spread Christmas Cheer! Our kids are excited to visit our seniors and bring a smile to their faces! Below is the tentative plan for the day- with specific times being approximations as we have a lot of fun planned for the day and our schedule may not be exact!

** Prek 3 class will have lunch and go home at regularly scheduled time**

** Please dress your children for the weather- hats, coats, gloves, closed toed shoes, long pants and tops! Encourage them to layer up and be prepared- thank you!

8:15-11:30am- Classrooms are Caroling in the Communities

11:30am-12:30pm- Lunch

1pm-2:30pm- School Wide Gingerbread House Decorating

2:30pm- Classroom Parties

Do you know of a community member that would appreciate and enjoy our students visiting them? On December 19th, students from CES will be traveling to all our district's communities to celebrate the season, deliver a box of goodies and sing Christmas Carols! If you have a senior in mind- please fill out the form below! CES will be making gift boxes for senior citizens in the Raider Communities! On Thursday December 19th, we will deliver the boxes and sing Christmas Carols to these special community members as our gift to them. Last year proved to be very heart-warming for CES and very much welcomed and appreciated by the seniors! Please help us spread Christmas Joy throughout our communities! The more items donated- the more joy we can spread!

Parents- please be sure kids are dressed and prepared for the cold conditions. As long as the weather permits, we will be taking our kids outside for recess. If your family is in need of coats, hats, gloves, long pants and tops, please reach out as we have generous donations for this need specifically!

We're so excited that our school will be participating in an in-school Penguin Patch® Holiday Shop to spread holiday cheer!

Penguin Patch® Holiday Shop is a fun way for students to shop for family members and experience the spirit of giving while learning to earn, budget, and save! Our shop will be open from Monday,12/9/2024 to THURSDAY, 12/12/2024. We need volunteers to help our kiddos shop within their budget, wrap their gifts (in bags), and to check out our shoppers! The main times will be 12:30-1:30 and 2:45-3:45 M-Th, but any help 12-5 would be greatly appreciated!

Your student will have over 100 delightful gifts to choose from, all ranging in price from $0.50 to $13. This is an amazing opportunity to empower your student to choose, purchase, and give gifts to their loved ones! While your child is having fun shopping, you are also helping raise money for our school.
